Next, trace around the template onto medium weight chipboard. Do this twice for the left and right sides of the sleigh. Next, use your craft knife and scissors to cut out the shapes. Adhere the patterned paper to the front and back sides of each of the side sleigh pieces and cut away excess.

Step 2: Front and Back of SleighCover two pieces of 5-3/4 x 6 chipboard with the patterned paper on the front and back. From this, die cut the tops on the 5-3/4 inch side by aligning the 5-3/4- inch chipboard side to the top edge of the bracket die. To make this cut perfect, use a ruler to make sure it is the same distance from the topside edge of the die, to the topside of

the chipboard piece. Next, take some blue painters tape and place it on the chipboard and the die to hold it in place while running it through the Vagabond or die cutter.

Now that the tops have been die cut, cut the pieces to the following: 1 piece (the sleigh back) 5-3/4 x 6 1 piece (the sleigh front) 5-3/4 x 4-3/8 Step 3: The Sleigh BottomCut a piece of chipboard to 5-3/4 x 9. Cover both sides with pattern paper to the same measurements.

Step 4: Cut 1-inch strips of patterned paper to the following: (2) 5-1/2 Horizontal Sides (2) 6-3/4 Vertical Sides (1) 5-3/4 Bottom/Back (1) 5-1/2 inside Front (2) 4 Inside Vertical Front Next, score and fold the 1-inch strip in half at 1/2 inch and apply Scor-Tape or adhesive to the back side.

Step 5:

Starting with the larger back die cut piece, align the back piece with the sleigh side piece and adhere the 1 x 5-1/2-inch strip to both corner edges of the back and side pieces. Repeat this same step for the remaining side piece.

Next, adhere the 1 x 5-3/4-inch strip to the back piece and then down onto the 5-3/4 x 9inch bottom piece on the back side of the sleigh.

Last, the sleigh side pieces will swing around and on top of the bottom piece. Adhere the remaining 1 x 5-1/2 horizontal side strips to the left and right bottom edges of the sides and bottom piece.

Step 6: Place the smaller 5-3/4 x 4-3/8 die cut piece in between the two side pieces and on top of the bottom piece. Next, align this piece with the straight edge of the sleigh side. (Around 4-1/2-inches in from the back.) Adhere the 5-1/2 inside front strip to the backside of the smaller die cut piece and the interior sleigh bottom. Adhere the remaining (2) 4-inch strips vertically to the inside of the smaller die cut piece and the inside sides.

Step 7: The Sleigh Seat-

Glue or tape the two Configuration boxes together forming one piece. This will be the seat. Next, apply patterned paper to the top, sides and front of the sleigh seat.

Cover a piece of chipboard on one side and die cut the piece with the Mini Baroque Die. Adhere this piece to the backside of the sleigh seat. Next, glue the seat to the sleigh front bottom and back. Last, Cover a piece of chipboard on both sides and die cut with the crown die. Adhere this piece above the sleigh seat back.

Step 8: Sleigh Front GrillCover a piece of chipboard on the front and back. Die cut the piece with the crown die again. Next, cut off the bottom curve of the die cut making a flat piece. Last, adhere the crown piece to the center front of the sleigh.

Cover a piece of chipboard on the front and back and cut (4) of the hinge pieces from Hardware Findings Die. Reserve one of the pieces for later in this tutorial. Carefully bend or round (2) of the hinge pieces into circular front fenders. Once they are curved enough, apply the rectangular bottom piece to the bottom side of the sleigh. Attach the top shaped piece to the front of the crown grill. Repeat for other side.

Last, bend the remaining (2) hinge pieces slightly and adhere one to the backside of the crown grill (This piece will hold the reins.) and one to the back top of back piece.

Step 9: The Sleigh RailsFor the rails of the sleigh cover chipboard on the front and backside and die cut (4) of the #2 Decorative Accent dies. Adhere one of the die cuts to the back side leaving 1-1/4-inch exposed on the bottom. Repeat last step by adhering another die cut to the front of the sleigh forming the front rail, making sure to leave the 1-1/4-inch rail exposed. Repeat for opposite side.

Step 10: DecorationCover chipboard on the front and back and die cut the following: 2 sets Flourishes -Elegant Flourishes 6 Holly Leaves and Berries Holly Branch Die First, adhere the larger flourish to the back top of each side of the sleigh. Next add in a few holly leaves and berries to the flourish. Next, adhere the two smaller flourishes to the inside back of the sleigh.

Step 12: The ReindeerCover chipboard on the front and backsides with patterned paper. Next, die cut (8) reindeer from the Reindeer die. Note: For this next step, I had some small wooden spools from the craft store. Its just what I had on hand. Think about using anything that is flat on both ends that is to 1-inch wide. Another idea would be to cut a 1 x 1-1/2-inch strip from chipboard and bend the 1-1/2-inch side in a -inch on each end. This is to separate the reindeer so that they stand. Glue (2) of the wide pieces to the neck area and the hind area of the inside of one of the reindeer die cuts. Next apply glue to the -inch piece and adhere to another reindeer die

cut forming a standing reindeer set. Repeat this step (3) more times, for (4) sets of standing reindeer.

Next, I added a single jingle bell with black cording around the reindeer sets neck. Repeat this for the remaining (3) reindeer sets.

Last, cut a length of the red and white paper twine and find center. Place one side of the twine on the left adhering it to each of the -inch center reindeer pieces. Repeat for the right twine piece. Last gather the two ends and string through the central hole of the die cut hinge piece. Voila! You Did It!!! Die Cut Filigree Reindeer Sleigh!
