Many pet owners are aware of the dangers to dogs and cats in extreme heat, but the risks can be even greater during a cold snap.
With record low temperatures across the nation, and the East Coast preparing for a winter storm this week that forecasters are calling a "bomb cyclone," to cold weather than humans because of their fur, according to the American Veterinary Medical Foundation.
