BECAUSE this year’s Speed Week was to be essentially shake-down runs for the Kiwi Coupe and the southern-based team, their results exceeded expectations on numerous fronts. Arriving in San Francisco a week before leaving for the salt gave Dunedin’s Owen Jones, Chris Barnes from Riverton and their crew plenty of time to unpack the Kiwi Coupe at their Concord base.
