From POA to ‘Limpet’
WHEN Bachmann produced its TTA 46t tank wagon in both ‘OO’ and ‘N’ gauge, it opened up a lot of potential for modelling a variety of different wagons because underframes from various redundant TTA wagons were fitted with new bodies for spoil, scrap steel and aggregate box wagons such as the POA and PNA.
In ‘N’ gauge, the POA/PNA aggregate wagon has been offered by Bachmann Graham Farish with two body styles, opening up an opportunity for a simple conversion project that could be completed on a wet Sunday afternoon as a ‘quickie’ if acrylic paint is used for weathering.
