PUB TALK

Pub is a little short of events to report on, even though this is an event-filled time of year. She did not attend the Festival of a Thousand Bikes, partly from not having had the foresight to make any sort of an entry. General lethargy, and the price, put her off going just as a day spectator, although it was good value for those camping and attending for the whole weekend. She also failed to make the Crich classic bike day (and that is a joint VOC and Tramway Museum event) because a busy previous day made the round trip look rather wearing – only the PUB Vincent would have been up to it, as the HRD is too slow and not suitable for motorways.

The Vincent has however been out and about, mostly more locally, and so too has the repaired Suzuki, used to whizz over to Founder’s Day at Stanford Hall. For those interested, the repair consisted of doing a better job of carburettor needle replacement than last time (RC154) – or at least it is hoped so. Associated location washers, and the slide holes were worn, the former being replaced and the latter bushed back to size (replacements proved hard to identify and find). It has been pointed out
