With the protective and loving care shown within herds, we can learn a lot from the African elephant (Loxodonta Africana) who deserve the name of ‘gentle giants’.

There are many myths attached to elephants, one of them being that they get drunk on marula fruit. However, this is not true as the fruit is not chewed and passes through the body within 24 hours, therefore has no time to ferment and become intoxicating.
