Hellebores have long been appreciated for the cheer and sumptuous colour they bring to the winter garden. Their brave blooms may wilt in the severest of frosts, but they pick themselves back up to stand, heads nodding, through inclement weather. Over the decades, dedicated breeders have seized upon their good looks and developed a broad range of hellebores in an ever-increasing range of desirable colours, pattern and form.
