The Braindrillerz – Frenchcore £22

It’s all kicking off with Italian producer Sebastian Sereno’s billy-bonkers 360MB library of ear-shredding (very) hard dance samples. It mostly comprises one-shots, but many are ‘extended’ through sequencing and modulation. The 65 drum loops (175-216bpm), meanwhile, are chaotic in organisation, mixing stems and full loops, but absolutely bangin’; and the 76 individual drum hits are adventurous in their sound design. It’s not great value, but it’s not often that sounds this hard make it into the soundware realm.
