A CURVATURE OF HESTER’S SPINE LED TO MAJOR SURGERY DURING HER CHILDHOOD

I was 11 when the curve on my spine was spotted during a hospital X-ray for something unrelated. It was curved and twisted into an ‘S’ shape – a condition called scoliosis. It hadn’t caused me any pain or difficulties. No one could tell us what had caused it.
