Valerie Grison-Alsop just “gets” teens.

Perhaps it’s because the founder and executive director of Give Us The Floor (GUTF), a supportive online community for teens run by teens, is a mom herself. Or maybe it’s because she rocks out to the same tunes. But it’s more likely because she doesn’t dismiss their struggles, especially in a world engrossed by social media.

“I think young,” the French-native laughs. “I like the same kind of music they do.”
