China-Africa cooperation was enhanced in 2019 amid several bright spots despite the sluggish global economic recovery, lower-than-expected economic growth in Africa and other headwinds.
According to statistics from China’s Ministry of Commerce, in the first 11 months of last year, China’s total direct investment in Africa was $2.8 billion, an increase of 4.6 percent year on year. Manufacturing investment surged by 172.8 percent.
