Through the LOOKING GLASS

Featuring a prestigious cast and rooted in beloved source material, the eight-part first instalment of His Dark Materials – based on Philip Pullman’s epic novel trilogy – promises to deliver the goods as it transports viewers to a vivid fantasy world of prophetic witches, a warlike society of anthropomorphic polar bears and a dictatorial religious institution called The Magisterium.

The series is adapted by British writer Jack Thorne – who scripted the Harry Potter and the Cursed Child stage play – with Pullman’s 1995 tome Northern Lights the focus of season one, while two further outings are already in the works, covering subsequent books The Subtle Knife (1997) and The Amber Spyglass (2000).
