1 Be positive

Resolutions often fail when they’re negative – for example, “don’t eat dessert” or “stop smoking”. Negative resolutions require you to be constantly vigilant. Turn resolutions such as “I won’t be a couch potato” into a more positive “I’ll hit yoga class twice a week.” Or instead of “I’ll quit eating dessert,” try “I’ll eat an amazing dessert only on Saturdays.”
