A NEW TOP GUN?
As you’ll see from the brief report of last year’s model later in this issue (p.94), the previous iteration of the Z1000SX was a rather impressive machine, and will make for a wonderful purchase on the second-hand market. However, for 2020, Kawasaki has revitalised the model, not just with an addition to the model’s name with the Ninja moniker, but with a significant number of alterations, especially in the technology that has been added to the big sports tourer for its fourth incarnation.
Bringing the top model in Kawasaki’s sport tourer range into line with the rest of the brand’s Supersports range isn’t the only benefit, as it’s also a nostalgic reminder of bikes like the original GPz900R, as launched way back in 1984.
