W.A. Production’s hyperkinetic 148bpm pack is bursting with stadium-ready half-time beats and one-shots, epic synth leads and modulated low-end noises. It’s a shame there’s not more variety to the basslines, and some of the drum sounds are over-reused, but it’s all good stuff nonetheless. And the 83 presets for Xfer Records’ Serum synth (most of them in the bass category, and drawing on 11 new wavetables) make for a very tasty inclusion
