KEEPING HER COOL

MY husband Mark and I were on the cross-country course at Burghley Horse Trials in 2010 when Caroline Powell and Lenamore were held up. She asked if anyone had any water. Thinking she wanted a drink, Mark handed her a bottle that she poured over Lenamore’s neck and withers. It was a very hot day.
