Dare to be a Daniel Courageous living in turbulent times
The story of Daniel in the lions’ den is one of the most dramatic incidents recorded in the Bible. It is a favourite not only amongst children, but amongst people of all ages. It is an encouragement for us to know that God is with us always, even in the most trying of circumstances. It is a challenge to stand firm in a time of testing and trial. It is a marvellous demonstration of the power of prayer.
Christians are not immune
Daniel was known for his piety and his faith. He also had many enemies.
Whatever our situation or difficulty, we are assured that, – Proverbs 18:10. Christians are not immune from trials and problems. God does not promise to keep us from getting into difficult situations. However, He does promise to keep us safe in difficult situations and enable us to overcome whatever stumbling blocks the enemy may put in our path.
