Aluminium: A good heat conductor but scratches easily.
Non-stick: Glides over fabric, but be careful of scratching the coating.
Stainless steel: Distributes heat evenly and glides well, but it might melt decals when on a high setting.
Ceramic: Offers even heat distribution and a smooth gliding action.
