The ultimate guide to the New York Times bestselling series, with an introduction by Rick Riordan!

The book you see here is the ultimate source of all Cahill knowledge. It contains every buried secret, Cahill weapon or gadget, all the strongholds, and each agent and founder. In it, you will discover the true story of Madeleine Cahill as well as what happened after Isabel Kabra was charged with murder. Nothing has been held back. Seven Cahill agents came together to bring you this book, betraying their branches and their most deeply held beliefs. They did it because there is an enemy approaching far more powerful than the Cahills. Keep this black book close at all times, and be ready.

I read the first book with the kids and found it entertaining. I got the 2nd book on audio book and listened with the kids, they seemed to enjoy it (not with the eagerness as the last one). I they want to continue this series it will have to be with their parents because it will not be with me

A bit thin on how all the travel is really pulled off but a good adventure anyway. I do want to read on and see what happens next. I liked the clue of Nannerl Mozart as I was unfamiliar with her.

The way the authors of this series blend fact with fiction is absolutely astounding to me. I feel compelled to look up every little "fact" stated to see if it's true or simply part of the Cahill canon, but I stop myself because I REFUSE to destroy the temporary suspension of disbelief with this series (at least until I've finished it).

At the beginning of this book Amy and Dan are on their way to Vienna, Austria to find clue number 2. At the end of book 1 Amy and Dan had found a piece of music from Mozart which lead them th Austria. They arive at Vienna only to discover that Mozart had an older sister. Amy and Dan head to a library where her diary is only to find out that Jonah Wizard is there too. Jonah and his dad had also come to the library to look at the diary so Amy and Dan decide to steal the diary. They brought it back to the hotel and while Nellie was reading the diary she finds out that three pages are missing from the diary. Then Amy and Dan figure out that there is another song in the song by Mozart, "The Place Where I Was Born", so they go to where Mozart was born, which leads them to Salzberg, Austria. They go to the Salzberg Catabombs where they see The Man in Black following an explosion. Next they head to Venice where they follow Jonah Wizard into a Janus stronghold where they find the three missing pages of the diary. On the three diary pages there was a name Fidelio Racco which led them to his mansion which is now a museum. While at the museum they spot the Kobras who attack them but fall into a booby trap and get knocked out. In the end Amy and Dan figure out that the second clue is tungsten. Now Amy, Dad and Nellie are off to Tokyo, Japan.I think this book should be made into a movie because it is full of mystery. there is always a problem that needs solving. and this book shows it. there is always situations when something is wrong and the problem is always solved no matter what it takes.

this the second book in the 39 clues series and takes you one step further into the plot. Probably an improvement on the first in the series, maze of bones and greatly uses non entirely explained moments in history or the present to it's advantage.

The book One false note is number two in the series of the 39 clues. It is more on Dan and Amy's aventures on trying to figure out the 39 clues. In this book they visit lots of places and lots of museums. Dan does not like museums anymore. They are in a subway station and Dans backpack gets stuck in a rail and it gets ran over. The only picture and thing of is parents was in there and he was really really sad. He was sad because his parents Died when he was little and he barely remembered them. I enjoye this book because it its a mystery and you never know whats gonna happen next. Some times it is suprising. I like they tpyes of books that make your heart pound and this is one of those books.

This is the second book in a series, and continues to follow the adventures of Amy and Dan Cahill as they search for the 39 clues, pointers that will lead them to a mystery buried deep in their family bloodlines. It continues to be a fun blend of archeology and adventure and intrigue, a bit like Indiana Jones but more like National Treasures, for kids. This installment in the series had all the markings of its predecessor: villainous relatives sabotaging them at every step, hunts through ancient libraries to find clues in national treasures, chases through historical landmarks and monuments. For some reason, it didn't grab my attention they way the first one did, and I probably could figure out the reasons why if I devoted a lot of time to it, but since it's just a fun kids' series that I like to read for a little break, I'm not going to. I'll just hope that the next one picks up where the first left off a little better.

This is the second installment of the 39 clues, and over all I liked it. At the end of the first book, Dan and Amy find out that the clue they need is about Mozart so they go in search for the clue they need. It sounds pretty basic, but it's a fun read. What makes it such a great read is that Dan and Amy have to solve clues to get to the next mystery. If you're a reader of the first book you know that this is a world wide race and member of the same family are racing aganist each other to get a prize that will make them the most powerful people in history. Dan and Amy have to race aganist family members who are faster, smarter, richer and has more connections than they do, but they never give up. I just had one small problem with this, and that's Dan and Amy argued a lot. For me, it was a draw back. They have to outwit other family members, and run for their lives, solve clues, and bicker with each other? I just thought that Amy and Dan would put their differences and work together more. Don't get me wrong, it was a great read, but when they argued, it was distracting. This is also a way for kids to lean about history. This is one series you need to read from the start. If you start the first book, you'll be hooked, I know I was.

This is the second book in a ten book series. It revolves around a family called the Cahills, who are wealthy and are on the hunt to find the 39 Clues that will lead them to ultimate power. There are four branchs of the Family, and each has their own strengths and weakness. Lucians (spys, intelligence), Janus (celebrity, fame), Ekats (doctors, science, inventors) and Tomas (sports, athletic ability). Then there is the generic Cahills which do not know exactly what branch they come from. And this series follows a orphaned brother and sister who are in the generic family branch. The series follows Amy and Dan Cahill, who have been orphaned and have been requested by their late grandmother Grace to go on a quest of a lifetime and find the 39 Clues, before any of the other branchs do. They are joined by their au pair Nellie and thier cat Saladin. Amy and Dan start off on a journey that will not only take them all over the word but through history and their own past. The second book takes you on a wild ride to Vienna as Amy and Dan hold a piece to unlock a new Clue. They are chased through water cannals, suspected of breaking into a elite hotel and chased by an angry mob. We are brought further into the race and get a closer look at some of the branch members. And just who are those Madrigals anyway? This is a great series for kids as many historical figures are talked about, as well as geography and science. It has action, adventure, personal triumphs and some tradgedies. What also makes this a great series is each book comes with a set of cards that can be used by visiting the 39 Clues website, where you the reader can become a Cahill and join in the hunt. There are interactive games, clues, and puzzles that can be found that truely makes this a once in a lifetime event for kids of all ages.

This book was awesome! It kept me on the edge of my seat for like the whole time! So many twists and loops, it's really amazing what these authors can come up with! Even if it was a short read, I kept finding myself thinking about it, and wishing I could keep reading.Dan and Amy are now in Vienna, searching the life of Wolfgang Adamus Mozart. The Holts, the Kabras, the Wizards, and all the other Cahill reletives are all on their backs, and they face more and more betrayal every step of the way. But they're getting closer and closer to solving the second clue too! I can't wait to read the next book, where they travel to Tokyo!!

Amy and Dan Cahill continue their quest for the 39 clues, now on their way to Vienna in search of Mozart's clue. Once again, their cousins are in the hunt and after Amy and Dan. Brother and sister will have to have to use all their ingenuity to outwit their family in the hunt for the next clue. This book made very clear to me that I am not the audience for this book. It's not my genre (over-the-top adventure) nor is it written for my age group. While I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to a child in elementary school that was looking for a fast-paced or short read, as an adult I found it impossible to buy the premise of the books and get over the fact that Amy and Dan are on the run from social services with their au pair in Europe.

Amy and Dan Cahill continue on in their world-wide family scavenger hunt to find the key to power and fortune. This book takes place in Vienna and Mozart's family are key figures to uncovering the next clue. This book also delves further into the Janus branch of the family tree.

Siblings Dan (11) and Amy (14) Cahill are back, searching for more of the 39 clues with the help of their goth Au Pair, Nellie. Gordon Korman picks up the action in book two right where Rick Riordan left off with the first book--- leaving Paris for Austria. The trio travel to Mozart's homeland while trying to stay ahead of their Cahill rivals. Jonas Wizard is back with a bigger role, Alistair Oh, the man in black, Irina Spasky, and the Holts all contribute to the action as everyone looks to cash in on the 39 clues. This is much shorter than the first, and the action is almost non-stop. A fun, easy read for 3rd grade & up. (OK, easy for adults and secondary students-- fun for all).

I started reading these because the first one was by the author of the Percy Jackson series. These are fun reads, not deep, but like a world-wind tour of the world. I'll keep reading.

The second book in the series and I found myself enjoying it as much as the first. I like the action and adventure of the hunt to find the clues. It's nice to feel that some of the family isn't all bad. I'm a little concerned because there's supposed to be 39 clues and I really don't think there will be more than 10 or so books. . . and we're only on CLue #2! Gah!

Book two in the 39 Clues series, continues Dan and Amy Cahill's quest to find the mysterious 39 clues left by generations of wealthy, influential, or ground-breaking Cahills of the past. Maze of Bones left Dan, Amy and their au pair, Nellie in Paris, following a trail of clues left by Benjamin Franklin. One False Note finds them hot on the hunt for clues left by another gifted Cahill, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Chased by the brutish Holts, the cunning Kabras, wily Uncle Alistair, ruthless Irina Spasky, and the famous Jonah Wizard, Dan and Amy and their au pair track the clues from Paris to Vienna to Venice and beyond. The hunt continues...This second book in the series is written by Gordon Korman. Korman follows effortlessly in the pattern left for him by Rick Riordan, author of the first book. There seems to be little noticeable difference in the style of the two stories, except perhaps that Korman, a humorous author in his own right, seems to go for fewer punchlines than Riordan did in the first installment. One can only imagine that each succeeding author will find it increasingly difficult to knit the threads of story and character together in seamless fashion. However, so far, so good. The library edition, for practical reasons, does not contain the 39 Clues trading cards.

Dan and Amy Cahill resume their high-stakes scavenger hunt. This time they are investigating Mozart. Their quest takes them first to Austria, and then to other exciting parts of Europe. They get trapped in a cave, thrown into a canal, escape from the second story window, and so on. This young teen series features plenty of action and a few historical insights - like a Dan Brown for the 6th grade. Not very heavy on character development, but fun. As an adult, I wouldn't say it was super or anything. But my son enjoys them, so I'll keep buying them as they come out.
