About this audiobook
Trading Houses. Trading Towns.
Trading Christmas!
Emily Springer, widowed mother of one, decides to leave Leavenworth, Washington, to spend Christmas with her daughter in Boston.
Charles Brewster, history professor, curmudgeon and resident of Boston, wants to avoid Christmas altogether. He figures a prison town should be nice and quiet over the holidays—except he's thinking of the wrong Leavenworth!
Through an internet site, Charles and Emily arrange to swap houses for the holiday. So Emily goes to Boston—and discovers that her daughter has gone to Florida. And Charles arrives in Leavenworth and discovers that it's not the prison town—it's Santa's village! The place is full of Christmas trees, Christmas music and…elves.
Meanwhile, Emily's friend Faith Kerrigan travels to Leavenworth to visit her and instead finds Charles, an avowed grinch. Then Charles's brother, Ray, shows up at his home in Boston to discover that he isn't there—but Emily is.
Through all the mix-ups and misunderstandings, amid the chaos and confusion, romance begins to emerge in unexpected ways. Because everything changes at Christmas!

Editor's Note
Christmas miracle…
Debbie Macomber is the queen of the Christmas romance. In “Trading Christmas,” Emily and Charles decide to swap residences for the holidays, only to discover that things don’t go as planned. But both, of course, unexpectedly find love, which is honestly probably better than their original plans anyway.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This edition containted two stories - Trading Christmas and the The Forgetful Bride. If you're looking for serious, in-depth love stories that are full of drama and a lot of in-depth soul-searching, you need to look elsewhere because these stories are not that. On the other hand if you're looking for light-hearted stories that are more like rom-coms or sitcoms, these stories might prove to be worth your time. Both were light, funny, frothy romances with Trading Christmas being the stronger of the two.

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5It’s essentially a Hallmark Christmas Movie book. Not super substantial, but a lot of feel good fun.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5A nice, feel good book for the holidays. Easy reading.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Another fun Debbie Macomber Christmas tale! Misunderstandings and chuckles lead to a "happily ever after," amidst some charming Christmas scenes and towns alive with the holiday traditions we all remember and long for again, that make me want to travel to Leavenworth, Boston, and New York City to celebrate the season sometime soon!
Not my favorite of hers, but a sweet, light, family rly predictable tale that's well worth finishing, and offers repeated amusing scenes, some tissue ready touching moments, light healing hope for broken hearts and families, and a simply delicious ending!
All's well - and leads up to the best sweet dreams, complete with sugarplums and quandaries, all blended together for the perfect Christmas pudding!
Enjoy! - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Really enjoyed this easy to listen to Christmas story .
