- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5This is a short story about two awkward, angst ridden farm boys. Competitive brothers looking for love when they are supposed to be getting the hay in. Unfortunately, they both focus on the same person as the object of their desires. This is filled with the typical Lawrence family drama and awkward social situations. Lots of emotional turmoil, but calm in outward appearance. The characters are people who make everybody uncomfortable, including themselves and you certainly don't want to stick around for dinner.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5I read this when I was in the Navy and stationed at the Naval Air Base at Jacksonville, Fla. I made a trip to St. Augustine, Fla. and read this while riding the bus to there and back.. But I made no comment on my reading in my diary, so obviously the reading of these short stories did not impress me much
