Описание

When female wolf shifter Taryn Warner first encounters Trey Coleman, an alpha male wolf shifter with a dangerous reputation, she's determined to resist his charms. After all, Trey-who was only fourteen when he defeated his own father in a duel, winning the right to be alpha of his pack-can't have anything to offer the talented healer besides trouble, or so she thinks. Taryn finds herself drawn in by Trey's forceful demeanor and arctic-blue eyes, and she eventually agrees to enter an uneasy alliance with him. If the two succeed in convincing their respective packs that they've chosen each other as mates, Trey will win valuable political allies, while Taryn will escape an odious arranged mating.

But there are a lot of potential pitfalls to this plan-including the very real possibility that the wolf shifters, overwhelmed by their growing attraction to each other, will be unable to maintain the clear heads needed to pull off the deception.

This writer works largely to formula and includes lots of explicit sex BUT the characters are sufficiently differentiated with enough fun quirks so they're work gobbling down if you're a fast reader. Fun. Suggest you read these in order to keep track of who's who.

The start to a great series. The is Trey and Tyran's story. Trey is the sexy alpha of the Phoenix pack who kidnaps her to ask for her help, and in return he will help her out of an unwanted mating with alpha of another pack her asshole of a father chose for her.Well things start sparking from there!hehe

Enjoyed this story. A pact becomes something more between the alpha and his female. The story is sexual in nature with some very detailed scenes. The first reviewers recount of a multi partner scene does not occur in this version. Great character, storyline, & plot development. Looking forward to book 2.

This should have been a winner, it had all the things I like in a shifter romance. Unstable alpha male who goes feral. A kick ass heroine with attitude and a comeback for everything. That was the best part of the book, Taryn's snarky attitude and combacks. I really liked Taryn. The problem was, I felt like the author took a Valkery from Immortal's After Dark and placed her in a Psy/Changling story. That should be good but it felt like a rip off. Then the sex got wierd. I don't mind dirty talk but having Taryn constantly being called 'dirty, little bitch' was aggrivating. The group sex scene I didn't find sexy at all, after that I started to skim. I wish Taryn had a better story.

This was an awesome book! I loved all, well okay, most of the characters and was sucked into the story line instantly. There is some serious steam between Trey and Taryn!! I have seen a few negative reviews about a certain scene that was a birthday present for the Alpha, and I must insist that you not let that deter you, because for one, that scene is no longer in the book and two, you would be missing an incredible book! My one and only complaint is the number of times the word latent is used, which I understand it's a VITAL part of who/what our heroine is, but it was definitely overused. All in all though, I will definitely be recommending this one to everyone I know.

Actual Rating: 3.5 Stars This could have been a four star read if it hadn't been for the fact that the first few sexy scenes did strike me as coming under 'dubious consent'.I bought this because I was sent the fourth book by Netgalley and actually really enjoyed it. Overall, I liked this book even more.Latent Shifter Taryn Warner, daughter of an Alpha who is ashamed of her inability to shift, finds herself in an arranged mating with a twisted motherfucker, also an Alpha, who wants to break this alpha female's spirit and make her into his little bitch. Oh noes! Whatever will she do?Trey Coleman is a big, bad alpha male who is cold, calculating and incapable of falling in love. But his evil uncle who helped banish him from his old pack has decided he wants Trey's new pack. In an attempt to protect his wolves and territory from the clutches of the evil uncle, he enlists the help of Taryn; mating with her will offer him an alliance with her father whilst at the same time rescuing her from the clutches of slimeball Roscoe. This is only a temporary arrangement, of course. Three months of pretending to think they're true mates and then they're both free to go on their merry little ways and mate with whoever they want.I'm sure everyone can see where this is going.Again, another fun book that I couldn't put down. I loved the interactions between Taryn and Greta - Taryn is such a sass-pot and she is so much fun to read. The book is action packed, full of banter, sexual tension and humour.Do recommend if you aren't squicky about dubious consent.

Ugh...I liked it...a lot...more than I want to admit...it has probably one of the hottest scenes that I have ever read...ever...but why... was it necessary?...I feel guilty...and torn...and really excited to continue the series...Oh my, I've come a long way in my reading choices...sheesh! *smacks forehead*

Sorry, I've been sitting here trying to write an intelligent review but...I got nothing! READ THIS, but BEWARE is all I can say!

Ok I accidently found this book on goodreads the other day and thought oh this sounds good.

I now must say I have found myself another favorite author...wow Suzanne Wright can tell a story.

This book not only has a good story line but has some hot scenes, I couldn't stop reading this book.

I love werewolfs, I love hot alpha males and added to the story was a great alpha female.

This is an adult book and I loved every word Suzanne has written.

We meet Tayrn who is a latent wolf (she can't shift) her father has made a deal with another alpha of a different pack and pretty much has given Tayrn away. His treatment of her is horrible.

Tayrn who is a strong female hates the alpha she is supposed to mate with.

When an opportunity comes up to mate with another alpha she jumps at the chance, the arrangement is she stays with the new pack for 3 months and then she can move on.

Well of course nothing happens like it is supposed to and her new alpha may be a bit crazy but Tayrn see's this as a way out.

I have to say this story is great, I loved it and as soon as I was done reading Feral Sins I went and made sure I found more of Suzanne's books.

I recommend it to any of my friends who love to read werewolfs, hot sexy alpha men and some great hot scenes.

    Listened to audiobook.

    4.5 stars

I enjoyed much more than I thought I would. Review to come.

    Wonderfully dirty.....

You have an alpha male not interested in any form of relationship, a very strong willed spitfire of a heroine with the skill and balls to back up her mouth.

The POV jumps from one to the other but does not get confusing, which to me is a big deal. I am so tired of reading books were the POV gets all jumbled up.

The sex has plenty of dirty talk and dominance without making Taryn submissive (seems impossible but they pull it off). The group scene does seem a little out of place, but if you pay attention to the book it is not as odd as most reviews are making it out to be.

When all is said and done, you have and erotic shifter romance (more erotic than romance) with an actual plot.

On the one hand, I want to kick myself for not reading this a LONG time ago. On the other hand, I think I waited just the right amount of time, because I got to read the newer version, without the gangbang or orgy or whatever it was. Because I agree with everyone that said these two sleeping with ANYONE else would have been totally OOC.

This book had it all- a little bit of angst, a lot of humor, a LOT of really hot sex, and now I'm going to be checking out all this author's other work. I can't think of a single complaint that I have about this story, and that's rare.

I started listening to this book as an audiobook, but had to switch to ebook when I found this was a book better read alone, in the closet, away from the children and anyone else who could see me.

I think what I liked most about this book was the Alpha female part. Taryn made such a good alpha female it didn't matter that she couldn't shift forms. She was sharp tongued and she kicked ass. I like that the author kept her true through the book and didn't turn her all mushy and gushy just because she was mated.

There was a lot of sex in this book. Hot, screaming Alpha sex. If you don't like much sex (or any) in your stories star far, far away from this book.

Oh.. I loved this story. I especially loved the heroine, Taryn. She’s got that sarcastic sense of humor and you just never know what she’s going to say next. She literally had me laughing throughout the book. Especially her banter with the grandma and one of the wolves in the pack. Trey is an alpha whom is being challenged by his uncle to claim his pack and his territory. Trey decides he needs a mate and an alliance in order to possibly beat the numbers on the opposite side. Enter Taryn. Taryn has been promised to another by her father for another alliance and the alpha she’s promised to is a real douche canoe, and an abusive one at that. Trey and Taryn set up a plan for them to pretend to be true mates in order to get her out of the mating with the other alpha and possibly get an alliance with her father. There was so much going on and this book literally had my emotions up and down. Trey just didn’t know how to deal with people or emotions, but he finds that he enjoys Taryn and it isn’t long before the two of them realize there is something there that is more than just pretend. So good and can’t wait to read the next book.

I'm loving this series. I did read/listen to a few of them out of order but they are great. The story captured my attention from the first paragraph and kept it the whole time. I recommend this series

This is really a 4.5-star book. I really wanted to give it 5 stars, but because I wasn't all giddy and excited to read the next I couldn't.

This book was really great on the snark! The main character was really witty and sarcastic! I loved it! I was laughing all over the place!

A sub character was delightfully quick with the bad pickup lines, this was very amusing too!

So, the humor of the book I just loved, I also liked the story and all the characters. But I had a few big issues and annoyances, so a 1 star deduction.

    My biggest peeves were:
    1. All the bad girls were bleached blond and surgically altered. Clearly the author has something against 'fake' women, as there wasn't a single bad female character in this book that didn't have fake blond hair and plastic surgery!! Her obsession with these attributes was kinda embarrassing.

    2. The bff's, they disappear after the first few chapters, and don't re-appear until near the end of the book! Now, I didn't like them anyway, so wasn't sad not to read about them, it is just that if they were such great friends wouldn't they play a bigger part in her life??? She spends MONTHS avoiding and ignoring them, what kind of friend is that?!

    3. The traitor... Ok, this is my biggest upset with the book. There is a traitor in the pack. Someone doing bad things to the Alpha female. And no one does a fucking thing about it!! They will barely even talk or think about it! So, here is this alpha male supposedly all protective of his mate, and yet someone smashed her face and tried to hurt her worse, and they don't even actively look for the culprit! The person leaves a dead animal for the heroin to find, and again, no one does shit! The hero swears he'll deal with it, yet he doesn't even think about it after that!! Seriously big oversight of this author. There wasn't a single plot, ploy or attempt to discover who the bad guy in their midsts was. In addition, all the enforcers and men (save one) go into battle, and she's left (pregnant) to protect herself! Um, I don't think so!!!!

    4. This one is more just an annoyance. I got pretty fucking tired of being reminded that they weren't true mates. I get that was significant, but christ o'mighty, I don't need to REread it every fucking page!! good grief!

    5. I don't think the father got what he deserved for being such a monumental fucking heartless bastard. He got off Scott free, AND they formed an alliance with him! WTF?!

    6. The ménage aspect seemed kinda forced in. It didn't seem like a natural part of the story.

So, now you see why I didn't give it 5 stars. Actually, with that many complaints you might be wondering why I gave it 4! So am I actually! hehehehe. Really, it was a very fun book, a good time frame in which everything thing took place. It had fun characters and lots of snark. The book was just really refreshing and entertaining. I liked it a lot.

SummaryTaryn, is a latent wolf shifter, and all of her life, she has been judged and considered weaker despite the fact that she is a dominant female. She is fierce and feisty and doesn’t back down from a fight. She is enraged when she wakes up after being drugged, and the crazy Alpha of the Phoenix pack, doesn’t stir at her anger, only smirks. He needs her help, help that could help her get out of an arranged marriage that she doesn’t want. Trey Coleman, needs a mate for three months, to help get some alliances, to prevent his pack from being killed or merged into a pack that betrayed Trey and those that followed him. Taryn knows that mating temporarily could bring heartbreak to her wolf, but she needs a way to escape from her fathers plans for her, so she decides to mate with Trey. At first Trey and Taryn don’t let anything but sexual desire enter in their relationship, however soon despite their best efforts, a deeper bond forms, a bond that surprises both of them. But there is a danger to their pack, a battle is coming up and they will need to be all ready for it…The HeroTrey, was abused as a child, his father, the Alpha of the pack, didn’t care about the abuse he handed to his oldest son. When Trey was a teenager, he killed his father, and doesn’t feel guilty, because his father deserved it. But because of his actions, his pack, the only home he had ever known, betrayed him and kicked him out, and those that followed him formed their own pack, the “Phoenix Pack”. They are a small number, but powerful. Trey is well-known as an alpha wolf who can go crazy and feral in a fight. No one gets away from fighting him alive. Trey has a magnetism to him, an alpha that is powerful and commanding, and full of possessive qualities. He was one hell of a hero, and boy could he make the temperature in the room rise to a dangerous level. Hot as a blazing fire. The HeroineTaryn, has never felt welcomed or loved by her father. She lost her mother at a young age, She has a latent wolf, meaning she will never fully shift. She can partially shift, especially if she is angry and ready for a fight. Taryn is practically being forced into a mating by her father, to a man that wants to turn her from a dominant to a submissive slave and she refuses to live a horrible life with a man who doesn’t care for her at all, but only sees her as a toy. Taryn is fierce, passionate, a dominant female, loves her unique phrases, and has a humor to lighten any mood. She was such a fun heroine, I don’t think I have ever read a heroine like her. She has two sides to her, but she is fun and easy-going and at the same time, is an alpha female, and knows how to fight her own way. I found her to be very refreshingPlot and Story LineFeral Sins is the first book of the series. This is a new to me author, and what an author. I was able to have this be an audio book, and I really loved the narrator, except for a few of the sex scenes, for the most part she did an excellent job, however she went a little too much into the sex scenes that felt a bit off from the rest of the book. Other than that this story was beyond excellent. This is the first book that I have read from this author, and I definitely plan on reading more from her. I just love a fun shifter romance, and this series I have a feeling is going to be one that I will fall in love with easily. This is quite a hot and steamy romance, but at the same time, it also has quite a bit of focus on the building up of the plot. There is warning that there is a menage scene….well the version I read didn’t have that. So if that might keep you from reading this, don’t let it. From the very beginning I knew that I would fall in love with this story, and there isn’t anything I could complain about the plot or the building of the characters. We see great things that happen between the main couple, but also from the side characters. There is wonderful humor in this story, and there were a couple of characters such as Dominick with his cheesy sexual lines….that seriously made me burst out laughing quite a few times, that I am sure my roomies think I am crazy. What I also enjoyed was seeing Taryn and Trey battle things out and try to work out certain issues. They are both dominant alphas, so there is bound to be a bit of trouble. Trey is too serious and Taryn loves having fun–so they are like fire and ice….except together they become quite a driving force. This is a delightful romp of a romance, that brings together an intense sensuality, riveting excitement, captivating characters, and packed with everything that you need in a paranormal romance.CoverThere are actually two different covers, this cover is more recent and I really love it more. I love couple poses like this, and I really love the blue hues, and the wolf image in the background.Overall ViewFeral Sins is a riveting shifter love story, that is blazing hot, sweet yet spicy, and is beyond a delectable treat you can bite into!

Very good read - a snarky, sarcastic heroine, who is really funny - most times. Hero was brooding and a bit dark, but being more of a silent giant didn't look so bad on him. And this is a scorching hot book - very much appreciated. Only thing: mostly parts this felt too much like told from his perspective. I would have liked to read more about him and his body :-)

It was a great variation from the normal shifter/mate cliche, because H and h fell in love with each other without a compulsion through a mating like in so many other shifter novells.

It was very well written and also the secondary characters were an interesting bunch.
I am a little unsure about the orgy scene - it was kind of hot, but I didn't feel like it fit with the MC's characters and former behaviour very well.

    Why only 4 stars:

Big minus: the constant bickering between the heroine and the Hero's grandmother. It was annoying, because it stayed more or less the same over the whole book (too much!!!).

Minor minus: the missing comma. Missing before and after names in direct speach, after "well" in direct speach and so on. Especially annoying: sometimes the comma are set correctly! I am not a native speaker, so I get very aggravated about stuff like this
  • (2/5)
Synopsis: Taryn's father (an alpha male) forms an alliance with another alpha who wants to mate with Taryn. He's only interested in breaking her strong spirit and forcing her into submission. Trey is a young alpha male who offers a means of escape and protection for Taryn in exchange for an alliance with her father's pack. To accomplish it, they'll have to convince everyone that they are "true mates" while maintaining enough emotional distance between them so they won't imprint. As Taryn joins Trey's pack, she finds herself fighting to be accepted by the pack, facing a battle between Trey's pack and his uncle's larger pack, and fighting her own feelings toward Trey. This book has so many problems, I don't even know where to begin. Taryn is not a likable character at all. She is ridiculously stupid. The author attempts to make her seem funny and witty, but it comes across as laughable and immature. (I got so tired of "LaLa Land" references, her calling Trey "Flinstone" instead of Flintstone, and making ridiculous statements like she'd rather lie under an elephant with diarrhea with her mouth wide open than...whatever.) It really disrupts the story when the main character is supposedly strong and smart, but she talks like she's still in junior high. As for Trey being a protective, possessive alpha male? The author destroys that when he agrees to share her with 6 of his pack buddies. It was way out of character and just very disturbing to me. He marks her so everyone will know she belongs to him, and he doesn't even like anyone else to look at her, and then he wants her to give oral sex to six of his buddies? The language is graphic, and the sex is graphic. Trey talks the whole time, and his "dirty talk" is supposed to be sexy, I guess. Instead, it just comes across as cruel. It's hard to believe there's any love or respect at all between Trey and Taryn.
