About this audiobook

New York Times bestselling author Susan Elizabeth Phillips magic is vibrantly alive, and it's on display in This Heart of Mine, the fifth book in her wildly popular Chicago Stars series!

Molly Somerville loves her career as the creator of the Daphne the Bunny children's book series, but the rest of her life could use some improvement. She has a reputation for trouble that started even before she gave away her fifteen-million-dollar inheritance. Then there's her long-term crush on the quarterback for the Chicago Stars football team her sister owns—that awful, gorgeous Kevin Tucker, a man who can't even remember Molly's name!

One night Kevin barges into Molly's not-quite-perfect life and turns it upside down. Unfortunately, the Ferrari-driving riving, poodle-hating jock isn't as shallow as she wishes he were, and she soon finds herself at a place called Wind Lake. Surrounded by paintbox cottages, including a charming old bed-and-breakfast, Molly and Kevin battle their attraction and each other as they face one of life's most important lessons. Sometimes love hurts, sometimes it makes you mad as hell, and sometimes—if you're lucky—it can heal in a most unexpected way.

Such a sweet and cute story to two people who deserved to get their spotlight. I loved how incredibly strong and certain of herself Molly turned out to be after everything she went through. And then there was the boneheaded Kevin who swoop Molly and me off of our feet with his awesome goodlooks and his character. Another incredible book to an amazing series.

I didn't know if I was going to like Molly in the beginning, she seemed spoiled and a little bit off, but knowing she her actions were a result of her horrible relationship was with her father from the "It Had To Be You" I kept reading. I am glad I did, this was an emotional and funny book.

This was my first SEP book and my first romance novel. I read it for the first time when I was in highschool and have reread it multiple times. I loved Molly and Kevin and the complexity of all the relationships in this book. I would recommend This Heart of Mine to anyone who wants to smile after they read the last words. Buy everything Susan Elizabeth Phillips writes!

Susan Elizabeth Phillips knocks another one out of the park. This book was moving, hilarious, and tons of fun. I didn't want to put it down. Molly was just a teenager in It Had To Be You, but now she's all grown up. She has a tendency towards the impulsive when life gets a little boring and it really gets her into trouble with Kevin Tucker, the Chicago Stars Quarterback. The bulk of this story unfolds at Wind Lake, a campground owned by Kevin Tucker. One of my favorite scenes in the book took place at the campground. It was the softball game that broke out in the commons. It's hilarious and I loved it. I would highly recommend this book!!

I thought this was a good read, not as good as some of the author's other books.

One of my favorites by this author. You have to just feel for the characters of Molly and Kevin. Each of these characters were introduced in other Phillips books, and I could not wait for their story. The way that these two came together was beautiful.Molly had always liked Kevin, but he didn't know she existed, until they stayed at a cottege together. The result was a child. The two were forced to get married, but soon after Molly lost the baby. After that tragedy Molly went into a depression that only Kevin could bring her out of . Along the way they fell in love. This book can make you laugh and cry, which is great.

Cute, fun, romantic. There were some moments when I found myself annoyed with the characters' actions, but I think that was more because they were very different from me. Overall they were likable and funny, and the book was a quick, entertaining read.

My god, this woman's good. So far, SEP hasn't missed. I do believe I have most of her books in my TBR pile at this point, but I've no urge to read them all right this minute--books this good need to be spread out over time and savored. It's not surprising that SEP & Jenny Crusie are friends--very similar style. Fabulous heroine--a 'good girl' who has a history of periodically 'pulling a fire alarm'--once, literally. And the hero is the only one who sees who she really is. Wonderfully dense love story.
