Об этой аудиокниге

There's trouble at the Castle, and it's all because Merrin Meredith has returned with Darke plans for Septimus. More trouble awaits Septimus and Jenna in the form of Tertius Fume, the ghost of the very first Chief Hermetic Scribe, who is determined to send Septimus on a deadly Queste. But Septimus and Jenna have other plans-they are headed for the mysterious House of Foryx, a place where all Time meets and the place where they fervently hope they will be able to find Nicko and Snorri, who were trapped back in time in physik. But how will Septimus escape the Queste?

Queste, like all the books in the Septimus Heap series, is filled with nonstop action, humor, and fantastical adventure as Septimus continues his journey of Magykal self-discovery.

What would you do if you were given a quest that many had embarked on but no one had ever returned from? Septimus and Jenna are going to find their brother and do whatever it takes to bring him home. But not everything is as it seems. Queste has a great storyline and a very deep plot that leaves you at the edge of your seat for most of the book. As the fourth book in the Septimus Heap series Queste has a lot less need for character build up which paves the way for an almost instant jump into the story.

    Actually 4.5 Stars

I really enjoyed the last installment of this series.....so much that I WANT MORE and can not wait to read Book Five: "Syren"!

Dom Daniel has been defeated, all that remains are his bones and his ghost, Merrin (who was once believed to be Septimus) escapes his pledge to Simon but in his quest for power and reclaiming the name of Septimus Heap, inadvertently creates not 1 but 23 Darke Things to do his bidding. The evil ghost Tertius Fume connives to send Septimus on the "Queste' and places the Wizard Tower and all ghostly Extra Ordinary Wizards under Siege!

Septimus, Queenling Jenna, & Beetle set off to find the House of Foryx, where there is no time but All Eternity, in order to rescue Nikko & Snorri.....

This novel follows up on the unresolved threads of the last novel. We get a glimpse of Marcellus Pye and more examples of the quixotic nature of Marcia. I loved how brave and loyal Septimus, Jenna, and Beetle are. We get to see the Heap brothers who have been living in the forest.

Once again, Angie Sage provides another dull book, this one similar to Magyk. After reading this book, I question what Angie Sage is trying to do with the story. I believe her obsession with the number 7 is hurting the series. Why is that? She wants seven novels in her series and no more and no less. This is frustrating as a reader because I feel like she is only writing Septimus Heap only to make seven books and not giving much thought on how she plans on getting there. If you like the Septimus Heap series, then kudos to you, but I think she is ruining what could be one of the best series since Harry Potter.

I really liked how it had a twist that the other books in the series didn't have

This is the 4th book in the Septimus Heap-series. Some characters are no longer with us, some have left the stage for a while and others have rejoined us. Which was at times a bit messy for me to like and gave the impression we weren’t really getting anywhere. Luckily the Queste brought a change in that and brought the level up again. It didn’t just end there. I think the Endings and Beginnings were in this volume the nicest the read as well! Looking forward to find out what the Syren will bring!

Clever, sometimes frustrating -- an exciting chapter in Septimus Heap's story, if not my favorite. Ephaniah Grebe is a wonderful addition, though, and I wish he had a larger role in other books.

This book is just as good as the previous three because it kept you in the action and let you know what was going on in all the different groups. The book stayed true to the characters and story line, but also through in some surprises. You are introduced and reintroduced to a couple of characters that only bring more to the story. An excellent read.

A fun continuation of the adventures of Septimus Heap and his friends. The wizard apprentice Septimus, along with Jenna and Beetle, are determined to rescue Nicko and Snorri from another time. However, there is also a plot afoot to send Septimus on a perilous quest which no one has returned alive from. As always, Angie Sage writes with a touch of humor and amusement that gives this series a fun tone and engaging atmosphere. The large cast of characters provides many avenues of exploration and I look forward to reading more of Septimus's adventures.

For earlier books in the Septimus Heap series, this is a ****spoiler warning****.In the end of Physik, Jenna and Septimus managed to return to their own time, but Nicko and Snorri are still stuck in the past. Determined to get them back, Septimus runs into problems with Marcia Overstrand, the ExtraOrdinary Wizard who isn't about to lose her apprentice again. Meanwhile, Merrin Meredith returns, still bearing a grudge against Septimus. Will Merrin successfully Darken Septimus' destiny?I have continued reading this series half because I am interested in the plots and finding out what happens to Septimus, Jenna, and Beetle, and half because I'm being stubborn about at least allowing myself to read Syren (book 5) for the first time before giving up entirely. But I'm getting less and less enthralled by this series. Though I do enjoy the plots, the author seems to be operating on the principle "Why use 2 words when you can use 30?" So listening to this on my commute - which sometimes meant 10 minutes that hardly moved the story forward at all - was often extremely frustrating. To cap it all off, the final chapter is essentially an epilogue that ties every loose end that I don't need to know about and gives me every backstory that isn''t worked into the main story. Disappointing.

Seemed to lack a little of the humour of the previous three books, it's still there, just maybe not as much. There was less that was new in this book. Marcia Overstrand is still fabulous.

Septimus is back at it. With the help of Jenna, his princess sister, and Beetle, his best friend, he goes on a Queste to find his brother, Nicko, and the Northern Trader, Snorri. While this book brings back a lot of old favorites and adds interesting new characters, it isn't as action packed as the first three books of the series. That being said, if you're a fan of the series this is still an excellent read.

Queste is about a young wizard named Septimus Heap. While he is about to go on a Queste he has to look for his brother. What he doesn't know is that the Queste ends where he finds his brother. And if he wants to come home alive he has to out run a Beast. And the seven questing guards. While everyone else in the castle is worried that he won't come back alive. Like every other person who went on the Queste.

Exciting, can't put it down. Why do I have to work 40 hours a week, clean house, etc.....Oh, life will get in the way sometimes.

Queste unfortunately does not feel like much of Quest story. Although Septimus is on a Queste, for most of the book it feels as if he and his friends are simply "going with the flow" while attempting to find a way to reach Nicko and Snorri. And there are loose ends to the story as well. Tertius Fume and Merrin Meredith are both unrepentant and do not get their just desserts at the end of the story. In fact, they are free to cause more havoc in the future. Beetle remains jobless after being unfairly fired by the Chief Scribe. Then, there is Septimus's meeting with Hotep-Ra. This is after all the First ExtraOrdinary Wizard and he does not even spend any time trying to learn more about the magical items he has inherited like the Dragon Boat. The only bright spot to the story seems to be Simon Heap's rehabilitation. Simon finally sees the error of his ways and is determined to redeem himself. Hopefully, this paves the way for a Heap family reunion.

Queste is a wonderful book in an amazing series. Probably the best story of the set thus far, although the first one - Magyk is also excellent. I am very glad I read these. The series will inevitably be compared with Harry Potter, as both are wonderfully funny tales set in a world of magic, and with some other plot similarities. But the Septimus Heap books are not obviously derivative of the Hary Potter phenomenon. They stand very well on their own merits. There are still some loose ends so I suspect Angie Sage is not done with this series yet. We will see.In thuis story we see Septimus, Princess Jenna and Beatle searching for Nikko and Snorri, lost in the past at the end of Physik. But Merrin Meredith also re-emerges as a villain, which leads to an attempt to darken the destiny of Septimus Heap. The plot is more intricate than previous novels. There are perhaps a couple of areas where perfectionsist would quibble over plot details, but if you read it for the story you won't care at all. Highly recommended - this series is a new favourite of mine.

This book was so much fun for me to read. I really enjoy Septimus Heap, his family and their friends. This is probably their biggest adventure so far, and it's full of hazzards, problems, love, loyalty, friendship and family. It's such an easy book to read and enjoy - well worth my time. I love that each book has a little bit at the end to give us just a bit more insight into the charachters of the books, answer a question or two or just give a fun fact that was I think was cut from the book. I believe that everyone should give Septimus' story a try.
