About this audiobook

Dark storm clouds, swirling and brooding, raced overhead. Lightning flashed, shedding eerie flickering light on a sea of armed knights in black armor. This army stretched all the way to the horizon.

Will Alleble withstand the final storm?

Paragor, the Betrayer of King Eliam, unites with the Wyrm Lord and the Seven Sleepers to launch a fullscale assault on the Kingdom of Alleble. While Alleble and its allies prepare to face the coming onslaught, they cling to an ancient legend about Three Witnesses who have the power to bring victory. But is the legend true? And if it is, Where are they? Time is running out as darkness spreads over The Realm, and Paragor unleashes The Final Storm.

This book is such a great ending to the series. It shows the fact that good will prevail and God will have the ultimate victory. A great book for all ages.

Wyrms, Wolves and Glimpses Oh, My!With this book being the end of the trilogy you don't know what will happen. Paragory has a huge army, the Wyrm Lord and the Sleepers. Who can stop him?Antionette is caught, Aidan fears for Robby, and then there is a hidden darkness that is trying to destroy them all. Will the Glimpes save their world? This is a great book that I have read 4 times and love every time! This book is so good with all of my favorite Glimpses back! How is that possible? Read the book!

Wow. This book is great. Enough battles and peril to satisfy the adventure-lover, enough secrets to satisfy the mystery-lover, and enough coolness to satisfy the... well, cool-lover!All around great. Granted, some might see it as "just another fantasy book", but it most certainly has characteristics that distinguish it from others in its genre. For instance, there is an unlikely connection between Earth and The Realm... but I won't spoil that for you. :-D Also, there is a good dose of Biblical allegory, enough to inspire and appeal to Christian readers, yet not so much that the books would be termed "preachy" by most non-Christians. It would still be a marvelous book even without these themes. This is also a welcome addition to the book world because, by almost all standards, it is clean. I have tried many other fantasy tales and been sorely disappointed by inappropriate words and references. This book is emotional, as well. Beloved characters die, yet even in those times, there is hope...I will mention that its main downside would be, in my opinion, the fact that there were a grammar issues that I found distracting. Nonetheless, I enjoyed the plot and characters so much that I still am giving this book all five stars.Mortiwraiths, last stands, shape-shifters, explosions, dungeons, scrolls, fire rock, and a final confrontation between the forces of good and evil as, finally, all warriors from each side amass. Read this book (but first read the others) and read the amazing, complete, emotional, well-planned, unexpected ending of the Door Within Trilogy.-whisper

This is a beautiful conclusion to a great series--not to be missed if you've read the first two books. The multiple story lines revolving around the main characters are all interesting and intertwined together well. Also, the characters in this book face even higher stakes than before, adding to the action-packed and suspense-filled style present in all of Batson's books. My criticism is that this book is not as memorable for me as the other two and I think the reason is that this story line isn't distinct enough from that of The Rise of the Wyrm Lord so the events of the two books tend to run together more than they do with the first book.

This is the third and final book in The Door Within trilogy, in which Aidan and company fight the evil Paragor for the last time. I have mixed feelings. Now, I accept that this trilogy could not have ended with a cop-out like "and then Aiden woke up snug in his bed", but several of my questions were never answered, such as what happened to the green-eyed/undecided folks. The motives of Paragor's followers are similarly unclear: he promises them power, and yet they obviously do nothing but serve his whims. Even Robby's internal struggle, which is by far the most detailed, is pretty unrealistic. The characterization is often unconvincing to an adult, with several one-note personalities, but that is fairly common in children's books. I would say that this trilogy would be good for Christian kids (since the idea of King Eliam doesn't make a whole lot of sense unless you get the Jesus symbolism), but it's awfully violent. This book in particular is nearly nonstop fighting and death told in graphic detail. In short, this trilogy was a fine diversion, but not something I would go out of my way to recommend.
