About this audiobook

Can the love of a lifetime be forever changed by one pink line?

Sydney Shephard, a sweet-tempered college senior, is in love with an exceptional man and ready to start a future with him. Yet, one night, she makes an irrevocable decision that forces her to relinquish her youth and risk losing the love of her life.

Then there’s Grace, a fifth grader, whose world is turned upside down when she makes a shocking discovery, leaving her with profound and puzzling questions about who she really is.

Spanning generations and every imaginable emotion, One Pink Line reveals how two points of view can be dramatically at odds, but perhaps ultimately reconciled. Simultaneously deeply felt and lighthearted, the story deftly mines the redemptive power of love, and how doing the right thing and living honestly can bring unexpected, hard-won happiness.

I really enjoyed this book, the two perspectives was nice. I would have liked to know why Sydney’s mom treated her differently it just seemed like there was something there.

I love how the author alternated between the daughter and the mother's pov. It helped the story come full circle. The story itself was interesting and kept me coming back for more. I only had a few issues. First, some of the dialogue was kind of awkward to me. I kept thinking to myself, "Who talks like this?" That's never a good thing to be thinking when you're trying to lose yourself in a story. Secondly, I thought Sydney was kind of a weirdo and I didn't really connect all that well with her. Maybe that's because I try not to have skanky friends who do blow on a regular basis? I really would have liked her to be a more relatable character. Although all of her escapades were happening around the time I was born, so maybe it's just something lost in translation between generations? Overall, it's a mediocre, entertaining read.

This is a great read! As someone that has been on both ends of the story line I can certainly relate with the characters and events. I think this could be an eye-opener for any woman of any age that may or may not have dealt with such circumstances.

I read this whole book on my Kindle in one day while I was sitting in the Miami airport. It's entertaining and the writing is pretty good by chick lit standards.

I started this book at 9 am this morning, and by noon, I was done. Told in the POV of both the mother and the daughter, travel through the present and the past to see how it all came to be, and where they go from there. Kudos to this author for showing how unexpected things can happen to you, and yet you can still come out on the other side. Sometimes what was right in front of you was what you needed the whole time. And sometimes an unexpected event can turn out to be the best thing that every happened to you.

I fell in love with this blended family, and really appreciated how they handled the entire situation like adults. Devoured this read, and can't wait for more from this author!

Author: Dina SilverPublished by: CreateSpace Age Recommended: YA - AdultReviewed By: Arlena DeanBook Blog For: GMTARating: 5Review:"One Pink Line" by Dina Silver was full of romance and family saga contemporary read that was indeed enjoyable. It was a little predictable to me but it still was a good read that kept me reading till the end. I will say it's about a young lady who makes a mistake, ends up pregnant and her life choices she will have to live with. "One Pink Line" could be a very real novel due to the excellent work of this author you are able to see into the minds and emotions of the two main characters. "One Pink Line" presents a story of Sydney and Grace's intertwining journey toward love, loss, acceptance, second chances and redemption." This author provides you with a good detailed description of both of these characters journeys. Be ready to many twist and turns that will only keep you interested as you continue turning the pages wanting to know what will happen next in their lives and OMG was a surprise at the end. It will be a emotional read. You will laugh and maybe even cry from it all! You will find from "One Pink Line is a heartwarming novel that deals with life's experiences, though choices made, lessons learned and the power of redeeming and enduring love" and I would definitely recommend to all YA's.

This book is about Sydney Shepard who has a one night stand with a college friend and the consequences that follow from that night. She becomes pregnant and tries to make amends with her high school boyfriend that she still has feelings for. This book is told from the point of view from Sydney and her daughter Grace. Grace also suffers the consequence from her mother’s one night stand where she was conceived. The story is a flashback to Sydney’s past especially when Grace starts to question about her biological father. Sydney marries when Grace is two years old and Grace grows up to know Sydney’s husband as her father even if he isn’t her father biologicaly. This is a tale about how a couple’s actions where one thinks that no one gets heart has consequences for their loved ones even long after that action. The author does not reveal who Sydney marries until the end of the book, though she does hint at his identity.

I quite enjoyed this novel. It took me a few chapters before I really became interested, but once I got to that point, I didn't want to stop reading because I wanted to find out more about the details of the main character's situation.

I really enjoy a story that spans generations. As I started this books, I was anxious to see what these two women are going to through. The affects of choices made and what comes to pass them really had me intrigued. What I enjoyed most about this story are the great characters. Both characters face situations in their life's that leaves them searching for answers. I really liked how the author let the reader get a good feel for the characters. It was easy for me to see into their minds, emotions, and actions. At the heart of the story their is a great friendship that blooms into a love. I really loved that part. To see two people despite the choices they made, truly love and forgive each other, made me smile. I also really loved that their romance didn't blooms over night but overcame so many obstacles. They were friends first, supported each other as friends, and then they loved! My only gripe about this book is that some of the point of view switches were are smoothly as I wanted them. At times, I got confused cause all of the sudden, I was reading someone else's line that wasn't what I was reading before. It wasn't till I read a little further that I would figure out who pov I was reading. Other than that, the book was good. One Pink Line leaves a warm glow in your heart. It is romantic and realistic about relationships, but also capturing a pure, enduring love.

One Pink Line did it all for me, It made me laugh, cry, and I fell in love with the characters!! Sydney meets the love of her life Ethan when she's only in high school, and the two are completly inseperable until they go off to two seperate colleges, they make it through almost to the very end of their senior year though, until Sydney goes to a Frat Party and circumstances lead her to have a one-night stand with one of her best friends. When Sydney finds out she's pregnant, and that her friend wasn't who she thought he was, will Ethan and her relationship be damaged forever? I couldn't put this book down, I found myself so invested in the characters and in the storyline that I kept wanting to turn the page, and the whole book felt fast-paced like that for me. I loved Sydney and Ethans' characters, and Ethan is completly swoon-worthy! yum yum! lol I like that the story read almost like a YA novel because other then Chick-Lit that's been my go-to genre for a while now. I like that the story starts with Sydney in High School and ends after her completing college, It felt relatable to me because of the age group. I love how the two different points of view Sydney and Grace come together, and this book is one of very FEW that made me cry, I don't know what it was but the relationship between Ethan and Sydney felt so real to me that the phone call towards the end with Syd and Ethan made me lose it. If you love YA, contemporary, and /or Chick-lit, or are just a girl in general, I know you would love this book. Its bound to hold some relatability to anyone who's ever been in relationships, made mistakes, and tried to piece their lives back together again. I absolutely loved this story. A+ Dina Silver!!

The story being shared by both Sydney and Grace’s point of view was amazing. I could not put the book down. I went through all of the emotions with the characters. Hating Kevin, admiring Ethan’s big heart and all of the other emotions. I was so pulled in by this book that I caught myself dreaming about them. I am really looking forward to Dina’s next book.
