Joel Fuhrman – geb.

Reviews for The End of Dieting

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5So all animal products even those high in good fats or omega3 fatty acids like fish are terrible. I was interested in the book by the idea of eating healthy and avoid processed foods & red meat but this cult idea that everyone is twisting the studies to support their point of view but not me no, im definitely telling the unbiased facts, is strange.
Even for those mentioned with clear low & unhealthy levels of EPA and DHA for following strict vegan diets we are still saying yep, fish and natural sources of those fatty acids are still bad but take this supplement and you should be good ?
Everyone that bounces back from vegan diet is because they havent tried my vegan diet..
"Ignoring the nutritional and dietary needs of individuals who dont fit into their one size fits all, rigid dietary paradigm"
Ironic
Overall liked the structure of your eating based on greens, seeds, nuts & greens and the concept of toxic hunger is also very accurate.2 people found this helpful
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Another great book from Joel Fuhrman. He does repeat some information from his previous books, but this is still worth reading or listening to the audiobook. The audiobook includes a nice 148-page PDF file. The PDF has a lot of recipes, but it does include some success stories and nutritional information.
This is my favorite quote from the book:
“If we all understood that the secret to healthy eating and a long life was a steady diet of healthy greens and colorful vegetables, beans, walnuts, seeds, and fresh fruit, would the diet industry even exist? Our collective dietary ignorance is the only thing keeping that industry alive. If people understood the basic principles of nutritional excellence, they would understand that they need to eat healthfully and by doing so would achieve their ideal weight and never feel compelled to diet again. They would never jump from one popular diet book to another looking for a quick fix. They wouldn’t have to. When you lose weight and gain it back, you only end up fatter than before and this regained weight is harder to lose.”
I couldn't have said it better.2 people found this helpful
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Would give 5 stars if the tone weren't a bit hysterical and the text a bit repetitive. Overall the best "diet" book I've read. I hope it will be the last.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5The content is excellent. So 5 stars.
The narrator’s voice is condescending almost sarcastic. I’ve listened to this person before and his voice inflections detract from the positive message. - Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5I can not take seriously someone who promotes a vegan diet and supplements, and demotes grass-fed meat products as a source of some nutrients.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Outstanding! looking forward to applying these habits in my life.
