About this audiobook
In GO WILD, Harvard Medical School Professor John Ratey, MD, and journalist Richard Manning reveal that although civilization has rapidly evolved, our bodies have not kept pace. This mismatch affects every area of our lives, from our general physical health to our emotional wellbeing. Investigating the power of living according to our genes in the areas of diet, exercise, sleep, nature, mindfulness and more, GO WILD examines how tapping into our core DNA combats modern disease and psychological afflictions, from Autism and Depression to Diabetes and Heart Disease. By focusing on the ways of the past, it is possible to secure a healthier and happier future, and GO WILD will show you how.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Loved it just like its predeccesor spark! Weil researched, compellingly written
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Interesting, I liked the chapters about sleep and movement stimulating brain. But I wonder if some of the things that authors recommend won't be considered foolish in a few decades, same as the old theories they disprove in the book. I can't with clear conscience follow the recommendations on food (no grains, eat meat) as it's not globally sustainable.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Incredible book synthesizing lifestyle elements that we should all embrace to improve both our own and the health of the planet.
A great depth of Biological, Psychological, Neurological and Anthropological research is beautifully combined with the authors own experiences in a very engaging style.
This is one of, if not the best, books I have read that weaves together so much positive research and provides a great blueprint from which all of us can learn from to help begin or continue journeys to health and well being!
By following through with some of these ideas we will be helping not only ourselves bit each other and the planet! - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Great audiobook , lots of insights on how to rewire the brain
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5There are 4 premises, well covered. One missing, be wealthy.

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5I wasn't sure what I would get with this book when I picked it up. I figured it would probably tie in with the paleo kick that has been around for some time now. I was actually surprised I liked the ideas they laid out here. Essentially these two researched and developed a way to get back into what humans through the millennium did and thrived on. Today with our lifestyle so geared to artificiality and sedentary ways we have strayed far from the course with resultant consequences. They cover four principles that can lead us back to discovery and benefit from our healthy roots, and it does make sense. Easy written style made the book also entertaining as well as interesting.
