About this audiobook

For Olivia Bentley, Lucky Harbor is more than the town where she runs her new vintage shop. It's the place where folks are friendly to strangers-and nobody knows her real name. Olivia does a good job of keeping her past buried, not getting too cozy with anyone . . . until she sees a man drowning. Suddenly she's rushing into the surf, getting up close and personal with the hottest guy she's ever laid hands on.

Charter boat captain Cole Donovan has no problem with a gorgeous woman throwing her arms around his neck in an effort to "save" him. In fact, he'd like to spend a lot more time skin-to-skin with Olivia. He's just not expecting that real trouble is about to come her way. Will it bring her deeper into Cole's heart, or will it be the end of Olivia's days in little Lucky Harbor?

I was looking forward to reading about Cole and his many pockets of stuff! And he didn't disappoint. He was a straightforward honest guy, which is one of the best kinds.. in my opinion. Olivia had a lot of secrets.. or just one big one.. however you want to look at it. They worked well as a pair, however I felt their meeting felt a bit too contrived but as that happened so early on.. the rest of the story didn't suffer for that. I did find the ending was kind of abrupt. Perhaps it was just me.. but I was expecting an epilogue or something.. but nope. I guess I just wanted to read about Cole and Olivia longer! I think this is a great series and I am looking forward to Tanner's story.

When I first met Olivia Bentley in "It's in His Kiss", the last Lucky Harbor novel, I knew she was going to be interesting. She was very mysterious and pretty much a loner when we were introduced to her character and, that alone, attracted me to her story. I was intrigued by her and that gets me every time. I was drawn in before I even started reading the book (Jill Shalvis has a way of doing that with her writing) and rightly so. Olivia has some very deep seeded secrets from her past that she's hiding BUT those secrets are what made her who she is today. Her worst problem? Figuring out how to tell Cole without him leaving her. Everyone she has ever known has left her at some point so why would Cole be any different? Her inner struggle begins but you'll have to read the book to find out what happens. We also met Cole Donovan in the last book. He and Tanner were Sam's best friends. Where Tanner is the "bad boy" Cole is the nerdy one that can fix anything. I mean, how many men carry a virtual tool box in their pants pocket? Cole does... He's ready for anything. He's definitely an Alfa male with a bookish/nerdy side but it totally works for him! A hottie handyman that gets your motor running. But Cole is fighting memories from his past that he just can't shake. A tragic accident on the oil rigs a few years ago has him jumping out of his skin at the slightest spark and spacing out at nothing and it's a blow to his ego that he can't seem to get past what happened and leave the memories behind. Then enters Olivia Bentley... In a not-so-subtle fashion. When Olivia and Cole come together the healing begins for them both and theirs is a sweet love story that left me smiling. Their characters were perfect for each other and that's a big part of why I love Jill Shalvis' books so much. She knows how to intertwine her characters personalities so that they play off of each other beautifully. A piano in fine tune. I keep saying that each book I read in this series is the best, and that's no lie, as I read they just keep getting better. I almost didn't think that was possible but, trust me, IS! Once you get started in this series you'll be hooked... Completely and irrevocably. Tanner's story is next and I can't imagine how that will go but I am so excited to read it! I loved Lucille's character (she is an elderly "hunk spotter" who is constantly snapping picks of the hot guys in town) and the way she was described as "...her rheumy eyes were sharp as a tack, her lips hooker red." I love that! LOL I also love Jill's reference to herself being banned from Facebook for posting "tasteful" art which has happened more than once. There were tender, sweet moments also. Little twins, Pink and Kendra had a spotlight in this story, also. Kendra doesn't talk and the scene between Olivia and Kendra after Kendra had just finished acting out Cinderella was so touching it brought tears to my eyes. Jill Shalvis doesn't only know how to write passion, romance and humor, she knows how to tug at your emotions as well. I am typically an historical romance reader but the Lucky Harbor series has changed my thinking. I am quicker to check out contemporary books now and with pleasure. Jill's talent for blending together the perfect scenery, characters and storyline is something I love and her ability to take a series and run with it while making each new story fresh and new is truly unique. Some series play out long before they're over and begin to seem repetitive but not so with this series. I have loved it from the first book to the last! He's So Fine and Luck Harbor have worked their way right into my heart. I VERY highly recommend it to contemporary romance lovers! What is there to say? It's Lucky Harbor and everything about it is good. Here the best one was cole and all his hotness and then Olivia with all her insecurities and doubts about love and trust. There was just something missing here to make it amazing, but I can't quite put my finger on it. Well, still was a pretty damn good read.

Back to Lucky Harbor in He's So Fine and boy do I love me some Lucky Harbor! This series has quickly pulled me in and I've found that I love Jill Shalvis' writing style and humor. He's So Fine was really good!

I enjoyed the characters and all of the funny little things that tend to happen in this series, although I probably looked silly reading with a big smile on my face. Cole was great. Completely sexy with a handyman thing going on. Olivia just doesn't know what it's like to have real friends and family that aren't out to get something from her. She's secretive and has a hard time letting people in, but she has a really big heart and even volunteers her time to children in the area. They make a great couple, with each person's personality complimenting the other.

Of course resident geriatric love guru Lucille is in this book too and she always makes me smile! Plus we get to see how Becca and Sam, from It's In His Kiss (which I loved by the way), are doing.

The only reason that I didn't give it five stars is because Olivia kind of frustrated me after a while, especially towards the end. I think it took her way too long to be honest with Cole and while I get that this was the big conflict in the plot it still made me not like her as well as I would have. She was such a great character though, and I guess I was a little mad because I expected more from her.

Otherwise it was a really good read. I read it straight through and immediately started One In a Million (Lucky Harbor #12), so it was really entertaining. He's So Fine is the kind of romance that will make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside when it's over and brighten your day!

Loved it! But then I knew I would. Every one of these Lucky Harbor books is fantastic and this one does not disappoint. Captain Hottie Cole Donovan is too delicious for words! He and Olivia Bentley are a great pair and their story is a good one. These books always have for simple easy romance with just a bit of angst that is dealt with quickly leaving you with a smile when the characters get their HEA. I definitely recommend this one.

Another fun and emotional trip to Lucky Harbor. Olivia is relatively new to Lucky Harbor, where she came to escape from her past. She runs her vintage shop and pretty much keeps to herself, though I'm not quite sure how she's managed to avoid the small town nosiness for so long. She's been pretty successful until she's out walking on the pier one morning and sees a man fall into the freezing water of the harbor. She immediately jumps in to try to save him.First of all, Cole can't believe that he fell in the water, then he has to deal with a woman jumping in on top of him in an effort to "save" him. But once they're out of the water, he doesn't mind getting up close and personal with Olivia. There's something about her that reaches places in him that haven't seen the light in two years. But both Olivia and Cole have gotten very good at keeping their secrets. Cole was hurt two years ago when he discovered that his fiancee was actually in love with one of his best friends and both had hidden it from him. He found out when she fell apart at his friend's funeral, and now he's not so sure that he can believe in love again. He's never told anyone what happened, but it has made him reluctant to trust. Cole also expects the best from himself and everyone around him, and isn't very forgiving of those who he feels let him down. Olivia hasn't told anyone in Lucky Harbor that she used to be a child television star. She had liked the people she worked with and was devastated when the show was cancelled, so much so that she had quite the meltdown. Now she has reinvented herself, but she is getting pressure from her family, her agent and the network to do a reunion show, but she doesn't want to risk the new life she has built for herself. But when the truth comes out, she almost loses it anyway.I loved the way the relationship developed between Cole and Olivia. The attraction was strong and hot between them, but the connection went deeper than that. Olivia sees past the front he shows everyone else to the pain that he is hiding. She's also pretty good at showing him that life's events can't be reduced to black and white, right or wrong, and that there are reasons that people do the things that they do. Because he doesn't know who she used to be, Cole shows Olivia that the person that she has become is someone that can be loved as she is. When the truth is revealed, both Cole and Olivia have to face up to their deepest fears before they can move on. I was impressed by the way Olivia took control of her future. I loved seeing Cole finally see the truth of the way he'd been living his life. His big moment in front of the entire town was sweet and romantic and the perfect ending for the book.

I liked this story which started off with some exciting and humorous action but eventually plot turned into insecure heroine afraid to reveal her secrets that went on so long I started to lose interest and started skimming. Store owner Olivia jumps in the water to save boat captain Cole when she sees him fall in.

Olivia Bentley moved to Lucky Harbor to start over. With a new career and new identity in a new town, she's hoping this will be her chance to finally be herself. Cole Donovan was born and bred in Lucky Harbor. Together with his best friends Sam and Tanner, he owns a boat chartering company. One day, due to a sort of PTSD episode, Cole accidentally falls into the water. Thinking he was going to drown, Olivia dives in after him. Unfortunately, her rescue skills needed some fine tuning and Cole actually ended up saving her. After an interesting encounter on a boat where our two main characters attempt to get warm by getting naked, the two are definitely hooked on each other.Due to a terrible past relationship, Cole is very big on honesty. So right off the bat, the reader knows what the conflict is going to be: Olivia hiding her child-star past. This conflict really bothered me because I didn't think Cole had a legitimate reason to be angry with Olivia. They really hadn't known each other very long and it's understandable she would want to hide her past, given what a wild child she was. I can understand his initial anger, but he really should have accepted her first apology. This conflict was also eerily reminiscent of a couple of other Jill Shalvis books and it made me wonder if her books had become too formulaic lately.

Well, here's another book boyfriend to add to my very impressive list. Though I've noticed that a lot of those guys on the list are from Lucky Harbour. I guess that just shows what incredibly well written romance books these are. Cole is sweet and hot and a little bit damaged. Olivia is stand-offish and is a bit damaged herself. But when those two get together it's a sweet romance with a lot of heat. Everybody in town was hoping they'd stick and by everybody I mean Lucille and her geriatric gang and we all know that Lucille somehow always makes it fun. Loved these two together and now just patiently waiting for Tanner's HEA. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC.

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

Armed with a new name former child star Olivia moved to Lucky Harbor with the dual purpose of losing and finding herself. Growing up in Hollywood with all the positives and negatives that comes with that, has lead her to become a very guarded and weary individual. Lying by omission has become her new mantra as friendships and relationships start developing, despite her best efforts. Cole is a native of Lucky Harbor who runs a charter business with two of his bestfriends. A few years ago with the death of a very close friend, secrets came out that his girlfriend and now deceased friend were perhaps not bickering because they didn't like each other. As a consequence, Cole has a very rigid line in the sand when it comes to any untruths. When Cole and Olivia meet chemistry instantly binds them together as past issues lurk to tear them apart.

While this is the 11th installment of the Lucky Harbor series I, finally, felt like it was fresh and had something new to offer, something that has been missing in the previous books for me. Even though families and all the issues that come with them was still a large part of this story, as it has been with all the other books in this series, there was energy to He's So Fine that pulled me into the story. The story dives right in (literally) as Olivia and Cole meet right away and produce sparks. They are always front and center and definitely have the chemistry to pull it off. Olivia has a big heart but never veers into sickening sweet and Cole is the everyday man that just so happens to be gorgeous and be able to give MacGyver a run for his money. Let's just say the man has the knowledge and a multitude of tools in his pants that are bound to impress. While Olivia and Cole have lead vastly different lives, they seem to have the same issues, trust, and ultimately are searching for the same thing in life, security with that special someone; this is what makes them work so well as a couple and enjoyable to read about.

Past main characters and townspeople (can't leave out Lucille!) are mentioned enough to bring a smile to dedicated fans of the series but not overwhelming enough to confuse any new comers. This is an easy and enjoyable enough read that if you have the time you'll want to read it all in one sitting. The ending wraps up a little too quickly as Cole's PTSD issues with the fire and explosion he was involved in with and Olivia's family drama are never truly resolved. I really liked this couple so maybe this is just me being greedy and wanting more of them. Anyway, I've previously complained that the latter Lucky Harbor books were all starting to run together but am happy to report Ms. Shalvis has stepped up her game again with this one. There is a huge infusion of sweet and sassy into the story and characters that have made He's So Fine one of my favorites of the series. I'm once again watching the calendar for the next installment which will feature Tanner the bad boy ex-Navy SEAL.

The set up in these two meeting each other had me in tears with laughter. Who would have though a prior SEAL would need rescuing from drowning! Ha! I loved the toughness of both the heroine and hero in this read. It had me engaged, and not wanting it to end. I have to say at this point I only with this Town actually existed. I would so visit there and most likely people watch all these characters just to see how they are doing now. This book is just as steamy as the last, and Ms Shalvis doesn't disappoint with a great read!
