About this audiobook

Liv Davis has just about given up on her happily ever after. Burned by love more than once, she's beginning to think Mr. Right isn't in the cards for her.

Marc Chase is a confirmed bachelor and lover of women-lots of them. He's determined not to fall head over heels the way his brothers have. Until he kisses Olivia Davis and realizes head over heels may not be such a bad thing after all.

Can Liv open her scarred heart for this younger ladies' man? She loves Marc more than she can begin to admit but she's terrified of being rejected again. Marc faces a challenge greater than he's ever faced before: making a woman believe he's more than just a great bedmate-making her believe he's in it for good.

In the end it will all come down to two days in a hotel and a bet. Can they both win?

Chased is the third book in Dane's series about four hot brothers living in Petal, Georgia. I've enjoyed each of these books and definitely enjoyed Liv and Marc's story. I liked Marc and thought Dane did a great job of having him show Liv that just because he was younger than her didn't mean they couldn't be great together. Liv was a character that I could identify with - what modern woman doesn't have concerns about being independent while still wanting a great guy for the long haul? Chased was a great addition to the series.

Book three is another good light read by Lauren Dane. I very much enjoyed this latest enstallment of the Chase brothers. Liv and Marc's story was a great depiction of the older woman younger man theme, which is often very hard to write believably. This was done extremely well. Ms. Dane carries her theme of damaged woman meeting up with the one man who gets them and their issues. I can't wait for book 4 about the final Chase brother Matt.

This is Marc Chase and Liv's story in the 3rd book of the Chase Brothers series. The snorting got a little better in this book but was still pretty distracting

    3 Stars for me!

My rating range of this story... 2 - 3.25
If significant, why? It is difficult for me to get past the the h dated the H's brother for a full year.

    h = 4/10

Clean or Fade to Black - 1 or 2
    Normal to Descriptive 3-5
    Detailed Descriptive Sex - 6-7
Um, Wow, Beyond Descriptive Sex - 8 or above

Was there so much sex or unrealistic sex that you rolled your eyes and/or skipped forward?

The back story... H wants the h but she dated his brother for a year and is still not over him... plus she is several years older than him.

The Romance... Lusty, then medium burn.

The drama explosion... The h thinks that the H is cheating and runs instead of asking him what is going on.

Did it feel real or contrived? Very contrived
    Was it OTT? Yes
    Separation involved? Yes
Was it resolved properly or rushed? Lightly rushed

Final Notes... The h was a hit mess throughout and I had to skip parts of her incessant head banter.

I enjoyed both main characters and visiting the others in Petal. The story was well done and believable. Had a few flaws, but overall enjoyable.

(This review applies to books 2, 3, and 4 in this series)There’s not much to say about these books that I didn’t already say about the first one. Like the first, the main conflict in these is an outside threat. The sex in the second and third books starts a bit sooner than the first, but I’m not complaining. Dane writes sex well. And it’s good that she manages to give us female characters that are different than one another, because the men are largely the same person. I was sick when I picked up the second book, and it was the perfect prescription – something entertaining that I didn’t need to think about very much.

In the end it will all come down to two days in a hotel and a bet. Can they both win? My View:The third book in the Chase Brothers' series and its only getting better. This book is a little different from the previous books to the series as it doesn't have a suspense driven plot. The book deals with the relationship between the two lead characters and the growing feelings between the them. Liv needs a man she can't walk all over and Marc fits the bill to a "T". This is love story you'll enjoy if you like strong vibrant women.
