About this audiobook
Katherine Valentine's two previous Dorsetville novels enchanted readers with lovable characters and rich humor. The third installment delivers more of the day-to-day intrigue and comic happenstance only found in Valentine's endearing community. All is not well in Dorsetville-the sheriff is ill, tragic news awaits Lori Peterson-but in a close-knit community like this, there is no shortage of neighborly care to get you through life's twists and turns.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5The power of a small town community to help people overcome their problems shines through in this novel. Dorsetville is the name of that small town, situated somewhere in the northeast and populated by people like Father James, who's worries include a housekeeper on a health food bent who is on the verge of quitting. But he faces bigger worries as well--a friend with car troubles, a parishioner facing a difficult pregnancy, another parishioner whose uninsured children will lose their eyesight without an expensive operation, and a young man who recently got out of prison and needs a fresh start. All of these issues are handled with compassion, grace, and a touch of the miraculous. I really enjoyed meeting the picturesque characters and the spiritual wisdom shared among them. It was a pleasure to spend some time in a place so filled with people who would do anything to help one another. If you love Jan Karon you definitely need to read Katherine Valentine's books!
