About this audiobook
There are two schools of thought for encouraging babies to sleep through the night: the hotly debated Ferber technique of letting the baby "cry it out," or the grin-and-bear-it solution of getting up from dusk to dawn as often as necessary. If you don't believe in letting your baby cry it out, but desperately want to sleep, there is now a third option, presented in Elizabeth Pantley's sanity-saving book The No-Cry Sleep Solution.
Pantley's successful solution has been tested and proven effective by scores of mothers and their babies from across the United States, Canada, and Europe. Based on her research, Pantley's guide provides you with effective strategies to overcoming nap-time and nighttime problems. The No-Cry Sleep Solution offers clearly explained, step-by-step ideas that steer your little ones toward a good night's sleep-all with no crying.

- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5Useless and impractical, too much rambling. A dummy and swaddle up helped much more with sleeping than this book.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5this is a great book. i can't say that i used the approach exactly as she suggests. but i had it in mind as i figured out a solution on my own (basically, i lie next to my baby; at first, i did it until she fell asleep but now i just lie there for a while and she is usually pretty good at continuing to drift off on her own.) i know i will refer back to this book from time to time, especially when we transition her from our bed to a bed of her own.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5I found this book inspiring the first time I read through it, but once I sat down to try to implement some of it, it seemed that it was really all the same advice you'd get anywhere (have a sleep schedule, a soothing word, consistency, etc) only better organized. So although I think its a good book in theory, it didn't actually help me.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Does your baby cry every night when you put her to bed? Does she wake up in the middle of the night and cry for you to come hold her? Go to her every time and risk having a spoiled child. Let her "cry it out" and you’ll cry too. What’s a parent to do? The No-Cry Sleep Solution is the answer to every parent's sleep problems whether your baby sleeps in a crib or co-sleeps and whether your baby is breast or bottle-fed. Using the many tips provided, you will create a plan based on your baby’s needs. If you’re ready to get a full-night's sleep but don’t have the heart to let your baby cry it out, The No-Cry Sleep Solution is for you.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I wouldn't say this book is a cure-all, but it offers many helpful tips for improving baby sleep - leaving lights on during naps, but off at night; observing how much stimulation baby gets at night and eliminating TV, for example, if it seems to disrupt sleep; giving a bath before bed; etc. The author also points out that the medical definition of sleeping through the night is 5 or 6 hours - "not the eight you may have been hoping for."
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Straight-forward, practical advice on getting your baby to sleep. I like the fact that the author offers advice on how to put together a customized sleep plan based on your particular situation as opposed to a strict, one-size fits all method.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5When you get into the meat of the book it has some amazing advice! The unfortunate part is the first few chapters are spent on the authors feelings on other sleep methods. Instead of focusing on thoughts that would be helpful she pretty much shames parents who are trying other sleep methods.
None the less I will always refer to the book
With my children. I will just skip ahead to the useful chalets. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5this book is good. lots of good advices. I will update night review when I try all the techniques
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Very good book. I ve already made some of the things that I ve listened in this book, but there were a lot of new things that I ve learned
