About this audiobook
The two biggest cattlemen in the area blame each other for the violence, but it seems to Andy that neither man may be guilty. The case is complicated by the rise of a gang of "regulators"—masked vigilantes—and the arrival of a notorious hired gunman whose employer is unknown. The murder of a captured regulator and a standoff in the county jail wind up bringing to justice the men responsible for the killings and thievery.
Among the culprits is a man whose guilt no one would have guessed, and among the ironies of the case is a telegram to the Rangers from the State of Texas notifying them that their services are no long required.

Reviews for Texas Standoff

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Newly married Texas ranger, Andy Pickard is sent to central Texas to stop a series of murders and cattle rustling. His partner is the volatile Logan Daggett who has been known to shot first and ask questions later. When they arrive, they find two local cattle barons accusing one another of stealing one the other fellows doggies. Andy suspects someone else is causing the problems so the two barons take one another out. There is a lot of action and a few twists and turns in the plot to keep the reader turning the pages. Strong women characters as well although they have a limited part in the story.
