About this audiobook

Former Marine sniper and current NSA agent Jack Stone has a new face to go with his new identity. But he still has the same tortured memories-which include the woman he let get away years ago. Now his new assignment in Miami will put him so close to the woman he's never been able to forget, he could reach out and touch her-if only she weren't under suspicion.

When Sophie Moreno uncovers evidence linking the medical supply company she works for with arms smuggling-and worse-she doesn't know who to turn to. After a shocking betrayal, she realizes that the only person she can trust is a mysterious new person in the company-a man with hauntingly familiar eyes.

As Sophie questions her intense attraction to this man and Jack struggles not to blow his cover, the two of them race against the clock to stop terrorists from killing scores of people-starting with them.Contains mature themes.

The main characters, Jack Stone and Sophie Moreno, are likable. They have a shared past that makes their love story believable. Several characters are introduced, some of which I assume will be part of the continuing series. The one part I didn't like was that despite how close they were in the past, Sophie just couldn't seem to see through the changes in Jack to recognize the man she once loved. Otherwise this was a good story. I will definitely read the next installment of the series.

Jack and Sophie thrust back together in Targeted. Jack is aware of their past together, but Sophie is not. Jack has been given a new face and identity due to his job with the NSA.Physical characters of descriptions randomly appear throughout the story. For example, Wesley's current physical description isn't given until the 3rd quarter to epilogue of the book. Until then I'd been picturing a 40ish, medium height, single man only to discover he's tall, older and had a family. Some characters seem to disappear near the end/resolution also as it's never reveled what happened to them.Despite this, the flashbacks and story's current action flow together well. The writing is crisp, detailed and action packed. The characters are realistic. Both Jack and Sophie share their points of view and are strong willed personalities.Overall, a fun action packed read.
