About this audiobook

It's not every day you see your childhood friend and one-time crush on national news. Jackie Sellers just wishes that it were under different circumstances. She can't believe that Ian Lockwood is wanted in connection with a terrorist plot, and she's determined to find him and help him clear his name. But she's not the only one looking. The FBI wants him captured. The bad guys want him dead. Ian just wants to stay alive long enough to save thousands of innocent lives.

Lynette Eason throws listeners right into the action from the very beginning, propelling them along a dangerous road and asking the provocative question of how far we'd be willing to go if we were up against a wall.

No Place to Hide is the third book in Lynette Eason’s Hidden Identity series. Eason is surely maintaining her momentum in this series. While I don’t like clichés I have to say she has hit another out of the park with this one. The books in this series revolve around a semi-government agency, Operation Refuge, which works to help and protect those who can’t help and protect themselves. In this book it is one of their own, Jackie Sellers, who is need of help, but unlike their usual clients, Jackie has some skills developed at the police academy to bring to the table. Jackie’s childhood friend, Ian Lockwood, has found himself on the run from law enforcement and unknown assassins. His only hope is to avoid capture long enough to prove his innocence and to discover who is really behind whatever is going on. That’s not going to be easy with his face splashed all over the news, and his name being linked to terrorism. What a surprise when Jackie breaks into his home after years having passed since last seeing her. Thus begins a tumultuous ride for both the characters and the reader. There is nothing predictable about the storyline in this book. I repeatedly found myself saying, “Well, I didn’t see that coming!” I highly recommend this book and this author. I’ve read enough of her books to feel comfortable even recommending those I haven’t had the opportunity to pick up yet. There are only a handful of authors that I have that much confidence in. I thank Revell Publishers and Christian Fiction Blog Alliance for providing No Place to Hide for my honest review. I did not receive any monetary compensation for a favorable review and the opinions expressed here are strictly my own.

By chapter 6, I’d had enough of the wimpy guy character. His weakness and cluelessness is nausea inducing. I prefer my guy characters to not be idiotic.

Jackie Sellers is shocked when her childhood friend, Ian Lockwood, is accused of terrorism. Willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, she rushes to his home only to find the FBI isn't the only one chasing him. Her connections allow her to assist Ian in evading capture and searching for evidence to prove his innocence. But time is running out as the smallpox virus has been stolen and someone plans to release it very soon. Will Ian and Jackie prevent disaster and rekindle their relationship? Read more in Lynette Eason's No Place to Hide.No Place to Hide is the third book in Lynette Eason's Hidden Identity Series and works fine as a stand-alone novel. I have not read the previous two books, but did not feel that I was missing any pertinent information. No Place to Hide met my expectations with a suspense-filled plot and a tad of romance. Jackie and Ian's relationship developed quite nicely, but the focus was more on what was happening and less on romantic moments or overtures. This is not necessarily a bad thing as perhaps too much romance would have slowed things down. The story kept me guessing about who was behind the smallpox release and I liked that the individual scenes seemed original. I haven't read a lot of suspense novels so I can't be completely sure of it's originality, but it wasn't overly predictable to me. I recommend No Place to Hide by Lynette Eason to fans of inspirational suspense novels.Disclosure of Material Connection: I received this book free from the publisher. 3.5 stars (rating shown may vary depending on whether site allows half star ratings)--definitely not my favorite of the series, but it was decent. There was discussion about God allowing bad things to happen and about trusting God/blaming God--so a bit more spiritual stuff than sometimes shows up in this genre.Ron's group seems the only constant through the series. If Jackie was in one of the other books, she didn't make enough of an impression on me for me to remember her when she shows up here. It's a bit alarming to see how easy it is to frame an innocent man (well, he did see something he wasn't supposed to see, but he definitely was innocent of what he was accused of in the media). I'm glad he had a friend who believed in his innocence and the wherewithal to help him.

No Place to HideLynette EasonBook Summary: In the latest novel in her Hidden Identity series, Lynette Eason throws listeners right into the action from the very beginning, propelling them along a dangerous road and asking the provocative question of how far we'd be willing to go if we were up against a wall. It's not every day you see your childhood friend and one-time crush on national news. Jackie Sellers just wishes that it were under different circumstances. The FBI wants him captured. The bad guys want him dead. Ian just wants to stay alive long enough to save thousands of innocent lives.Review: This is one heart pounding book. From the start it has my head spinning and my heart pounding. Is it questionable to try to save and old friend from a treason charge. False charges or real is the question. Jackie was convinced Ian was innocent. Loved seeing how they were hounded and in the midst of all this they have no idea how they were being tracked. Some of the timing seemed off, but the tension and mystery was pulse pounding. Lynette Eason books have taught me to expect anything. I think this book is no exception. I was sitting at the edge of my seat to the end. I will admit that I have put the book down just to take a breath! I would like to thank Net Galley and Revell for allowing me to read and review this book in return for a free copy and I was never asked to write a favorable review by anyone.

This is actually the third book in a series. I have not read the other two books yet. Even so, I did not feel lost or confused by reading this book out of order. This is my first Christian Romance Suspense novel as well as, my first Lynette Eason book. It was a fun read. I plan to read some of her other books. The story starts off so quickly. It took me some time to catch up and figure out what was going on. Set mostly in South Carolina and New York, this book keeps you guessing and trying to figure out clues.Jackie Sellers sees her childhood friend on television, wanted in connection with a terrorist plot. She is an operative with Operation Refuge. After several years of trying to heal from personal trauma Jackie is on the team protecting those who cannot do it themselves. Jackie decides to find Ian to learn why he’s wanted and to help him clear his name, but the FBI wants to find him too. Jackie soon finds herself wanted as Ian's accomplice. She and Ian must run to stay ahead of everyone else, to prove their innocence, and to stop the bad guys from carrying out their plans. Jackie is mad at God throughout most of the novel because she feels God let her husband be killed. Some of the anger directed at God is really from her own feelings of guilt. Ian is a believer and gently tries to redirect her toward faith in God. The Christian witness in the novel is not pushy, but it is there and comes to the surface in the end. I recommend it to anyone interested in Christian Suspense. A great big thank you to Revell for sending me a complimentary copy of No Place to Hide in exchange for this honest review.

Another great mystery in the Hidden Identity series. I have enjoyed the first two books in this series and this book was worth waiting for. While you don't have to have read the first two, it was nice to follow up on some of the previous characters. Jackie finds herself in an unusual position of believing in her childhood friend Ian. They have to evade begin noticed as they work to clear his name. They work together to evade those who wand Ian dead for what he knows and trying to keep him free long enough to figure out what is really going on. I didn't see the ending coming and has to work hard to not turn ahead to find out how it would all come out. I received this book free from the publisher to review.

This was fantastic. It was a wonderful Christian suspense novel. Jackie and Ian were old friends that had not seen each other in a long time. When Jackie, who works for an organization called Operation Rescue, hears that Ian is being sought as a terrorist she knows she has to help him. Lots of thrills and it reads very fast. I loved the characters. Jackie and Ian worked well together. If you like romance, thrills and suspense than you should enjoy this. I received this book from Revell reads for a fair and honest opinion.

Fast-paced is an understatement in describing Lynette Eason’s latest offering in her Hidden Identity series, No Place to Hide. From the opening scene until the end, the reader is treated to near-misses, close calls and ramped up action. If you like your romance with a heavy dose of adrenaline, then this book is for you.Jackie Sellers is an operative with Operation Refuge. After several years of trying to heal from personal trauma she is on the team protecting those who cannot do it themselves. When she sees her childhood best friend, Ian Lockwood, labeled as a terrorist, she knows she has to step in. Ian has overcome his childhood bullies but being set up as a terrorist and killer puts him on the run. Jackie and Ian lead the authorities and the bad guys on a cross country chase to discover the truth. No Place to Hide is a combination of high-octane suspense and sweet romance. The plotting and the characters develop quickly. While I didn’t mind how quickly events unfolded, I would have preferred a little more background on the two major characters that would have helped explain their fears, strengths and weaknesses. The theme of trust is front and center. Faced with danger and betrayal, Ian and Jackie react differently — Ian has learned to always trust God no matter the circumstances, but Jackie fears more loss. I found their reactions to be natural and realistic. No Place to Hide is the third book in Lynette Eason’s Hidden Identity series. Although characters from the series make appearances in the novel, this one can easily be read as a standalone. Perfect for inclusion in the beach or pool bag, No Place to Hide is a good bet for fans of romantic suspense.Recommended.Audience: adults.(Thanks to Revell for a review copy. Jackie Sellers will do anything for those she loves and that being said, she would give the ultimate, her life. The book opens early on with her doing just that, but is she helping a friend or a terrorist? The disregard for human life for some of the characters here is terrible, don’t sneeze at the wrong time, or worse make a snide remark, you’re a goner. Pretty soon Ian Lockwood and Jackie are on the run from the good and the bad guys. Every one is a suspect, and evil waits for no one and no one is apt to be alive at the end.Unfortunately, this story could be a non-fiction read, as there are terrorists infiltrating the world, and they look like everyone else and are not the ones you would suspect to bringing injustice into the world.A read that you won’t be able to put down once you open the cover, it will put your heart in your throat, and at times you want that clock to move faster and at others to slow down. The characters are well developed here, and there are a lot of twists and turns and surprises. A really good and suspenseful read!I received this book through the Revell Book Bloggers Tour, and was not required to give a positive review.
