A worthy addition to the series and I'll definitely be continuing with the series. Amory is still a delightful heroine and I do enjoy she & Milo working together to solve these mysteries. I do wish their personal problems could abate a bit. They mystery in this book was a bit predictable but the return to the state of Amory and Milo's marital woes wore on me. Hopefully in the next it'll be resolved one way or another because Amory's dithering is already as tiresome suspected cad behavior. I'm still hoping he's working for the Foreign Office as a spy. Overall, this was a light, quick read and worth the time.

Amory is still trying to work out what her relationship with Milo is, he's still being caught in compromising positions with other women and it's hurting her, and their marriage. It doesn't help that he's not bloody talking to her. They are drawn into an investigation of missing valuable jewellery and she agrees to a trap at a masked ball, which is all fun until one of the guests is murdered and Amory is caught up in a mystery, with a sprained ankle for a while, which is a clue. This is very similar to another book I've read, with a similar outcome. It was an interesting read but honestly Milo needs to own up to his life.

A great continuation of this series. I love the complicated relationship between Amory and Milo, and how they get entangled in murder in their social circles. A great quick mystery.

A light-hearted mystery involving the silly Amory and Milo Ames. During a dinner party, the host's nephew is murdered and the hostess' sapphire bracelet is stolen. Amory and Milo insert themselves into the investigation while dealing with a reported fliration between Milo and a French actress in the tabloids. Lots of dinner guests, more parties, costume disguises and a very knowledgeable maid to help with the investigation before the Ames' stumble onto the murder.
