About this audiobook

Glenn Beck, the New York Times bestselling author of The Great Reset, exposes the real truth behind the roots of Islamic extremism in Muslim teachings in this sharply insightful handbook that debunks commonly held assumptions about Islam and the dream of a renewed caliphate.

From the barbarians of ISIS to the terror tactics of Al-Qaeda and its offshoots, to the impending threat of a nuclear Iran, those motivated by extreme fundamentalist Islamic faith have the power to endanger and kill millions. The conflict with them will not end until we face the truth about those who find their inspiration and justification in the religion itself.

Drawing on quotes from the Koran and the hadith, as well as from leaders of ISIS, Al Qaeda, and the Muslim Brotherhood, Glenn Beck seeks to expose the true origins of Islamic extremism as well as the deadly theological motivations behind these agencies of destruction.

Using the same unique no-holds-barred style from his bestselling books Control and Conform, Glenn Beck offers straight facts and history about the fundamental beliefs that inspire so many to kill.

A great book that is based in facts not in feelings!

Every Westerner who wants to/needs to understand why Islam is so threatened by us and is trying to disassemble our culture must hear and read this book.
What Glenn Beck has to say is not easy to listen to but it needs to be heard and understood. Thank you mister Beck for your writings.

How did this get published? The author is neither a religion scholar, an anthropologist, or a historian. When a book is written from a place of personal opinion and not research, such books should not be even published. The source is important, and this source is tainted. I want my time back.

As an ex-muslim, grown up in iran i found it full of false and selective quotes and references. way too many time i thought i should mention this or that in the comments section that finally i just gave up. but the summary of the book is that islam needs a fundamental reform from inside which i totally agree with.
if you want to read this i suggest you also read books from Bernard Lewis who is more of a scholar than a populist.

I just started listening to this audiobook and I find it very informative. I'm starting with a base knowledge of zero, so I'm learning a lot. But, another reviewer mentioned things that are left out and another author that one should read in addition to this and I think that is an important note to take.

I really enjoyed this one and I agree with about 95% of the material in this book. Not going to say much more about this book as many out there have opinions on this subject that are all over the board and I am going to respect that. Thank you.

Glenn Beck is making a point in It IS About Islam that is so obvious that only willful deniers are likely to disagree with it: radical Islam is at the root of the terrorism, barbarism, and genocide that plagues the world today. For political reasons, many of the world leaders do not want to admit this very real truth, perhaps fearing that aggressive language on their part will bring them exactly the unwanted attention from Islamist terrorists that they want so badly to avoid. But it is time to face the fact that in the absence of this particular religious doctrine from the eighth century, the world would be a better and safer place for all of us, including today’s Muslims. As Beck points out, this is not a new problem. It IS About Islam begins with a brief history of President Thomas Jefferson’s study of the Quran and his battle to control the Barbary (North African) States that were kidnapping and enslaving American sailors because they believed that the Quran gave them exactly that right – and duty. Muslim negotiators of the period, in fact, justified their actions by using the same passages from the Quran that are used by today’s terrorists to justify their own murderous intents. It IS About Islam is divided into three parts: “Islam 101” (a relatively detailed explanation of what is in the Quran and of the religion’s history); “Thirteen Deadly Lies” ( a rebuttal of the myths about Islam that Islamist apologists and too many our own politicians would have us believe); and “What Can Be Done” (a short discussion of several changes to our approach that would increase our chances of defeating those who want to destroy us and our world). As Beck puts it in the book’s introduction: “The lies include the oft-heard claims that Islam is a religion of peace, that Islam has nothing to do with terrorism, that Islam respects the rights of women and Christians, and that sharia law is a myth made up by Islamophobes.” And as he damningly and clearly states on page 204 of the book:“Jihad’s cost to civilization is incalculable. Over the centuries, Muslim armies have burned libraries, razed cities, and conquered large swaths of the Middle East, Asia, Africa, and Europe. The have enslaved, starved, and massacred millions of men, women, and children – all in the name of Islam.…the jihadists are not distorting their religion. They believe they’re acting in accordance with their faith and they can cite chapter and verse to justify every beheading, crucifixion, act of vandalism, and degradation of the ‘infidels’ who happen to get in their way.”Almost all of the world’s major religions have evolved over the centuries to the point where they reject the barbarism preached every Friday in so many of the world’s mosques. Only one religion is allowing itself to remain stuck in the Dark Ages, and it is long past time that the governments of the world admit the extent of the threat that all non-Muslim governments (and even some Muslim ones) are facing from Islamism. I do not agree with everything that Beck says in this book (for example, making the fight one of directly pitting the rest of the world’s religions against Islam), but his message needs to be heard. And Beck and his people made the decision to publish It IS About Islam only in paperback so that more people can afford to get their hands on it and share it with others. Please read this book before you condemn it because you dislike its author. It, and you, are better than that.

Mr. Beck has written a good introductory book on Islam and how western political correctness is hiding the fact that we are at war with Islam. This brief introduction does accurately present the tenants if Islam that are the root cause for the terrorist attacks the world face today, or jihad. At first the author covers the historical aspects of Islam that are still practiced today and I think more importantly the author covers thirteen specific lies or spin that governments, media and apologist tell to try and hide the truth of Islam. The lies are debunked not with opinion or western facts but with quotes from the Quran and the Hadiths themselves. In other words in Islam’s own official words. In order to tackle this subject honestly the author had to put aside the crippling political correctness that is destroying the western world. We read what is the driving force that drives what most call the Islamic Fundamentalist.I do not agree with one aspect of Mr. Beck’s assumption. The author actually differentiates between Islam and Islamism that is practiced by terrorist. And the author believes our war with “Islamism” started in the twentieth century when we all know it started off the Barbary coast when our ships where captured and sailors taken as captives. Islam declared war on the U.S.A. in 1801. These terrorist, including ISIS, that are practicing “Islamism” actually correctly apply the teaching of Mohammad, Islam. The “moderates” have strayed from the true faith of Mohammedism. Though this book has good information in all other sections Mr. Beck has closed his eyes to the truth that what he calls “Islamists” for they are the true devout Muslims who correctly follow Islam as originally intended.
