Ten daring stories from ‘a writer who seems capable of anything’ (Guardian), the Booker Prize-shortlisted Philip Hensher

- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5I'm really not sure what to make of this. The stories were a mixed bag, non particularly good or bad. It just didn't feel like many of them went anywhere. Some of them were observational, some in the first or third person. It felt like some of them were almost cruel or prurient, prying somehow. It was an uncomfortable sensation at times. I never really thought about not finishing it, but can't say I'll be rushing to read anything else by him.
