About this audiobook
Real-life SEAL Don Mann brings all of his insight and experience to the next installment of the SEAL Team Six series.
When a senator's wife and teenage daughter are kidnapped, Thomas Crocker and SEAL Team Six are sent to Mexico's lawless countryside, where federal agents protect violent narcotics kingpins instead of hunting them down. The two women have been taken by the Jackal, a drug lord drunk on power and influence. He also happens to be a self-styled modern Che Guevara, having undergone plastic surgery to disguise his looks and justifying his brutal methods and Machiavellian drug empire with the politics of social revolution. The Jackal is as ruthless as he is colorful, and he must be stopped.
Crocker and the SEALs have only a matter of hours to track down and rescue the two innocent civilians held at the mercy of this madman. With dirty cops, dangerous cartels, lavish tropical estates, double-crosses and plenty of bullets, Hunt the Jackal places the team in perilous new territory and demonstrates how elite warriors can adapt to and fight in any situation.
With insight into sensitive intelligence so top secret it can only be hinted at in fiction, Mann and Pezzullo have, over several books, used their extensive knowledge to offer a look behind the curtain at the life-or-death black-ops missions executed by a select handful of the bravest soldiers. Now, with Hunt the Jackal, the authors focus their lens even closer to home upon the dangers that lurk just across the U.S. border in a pulse-pounding thriller that ups the ante even as it sheds light on the real-life heroes and villains of the fight against narcoterrorism.

Reviews for SEAL Team Six

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5As always with the Seal Team Six series, Hunt the Jackal was full of action from start to stop. Tom and his team head to Mexico to take on the leader of a drug cartel, The Jackal, after he kidnaps the wife and daughter of a senator opposed to the uncontrolled flood of illegal immigrants and drugs across the US/Mexican border. They are on a time clock and time is running out. They can trust no one because of the widespread corruption and greed found in Mexico, even Americans living there. The action goes on to Cuba and ends on US soil. In this book, they also are dealing with grief at the loss of one of their team in the last book and personal issues as well. For those who love the action though, these things do not distract or take away from it. This book, as well as the others in the series, are full of blood and violence. If this is not something you can read about, avoid these books. But for those of you who like getting down to the nitty gritty of clandestine operations by the best of the best, I would highly recommend this series. This particular book was one of the best in the series.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This was by far the best book of the series. The action and emotions were ramped up in Hunt the Jackal and I really enjoyed it. Crocker and his squad are sent to Mexico to rescue a senator's wife and daughter who were kidnapped by a Mexican drug lord who is called The Jackal. Mexico is extremely dangerous and Crocker and his squad just might find themselves and those that they love in more danger than they ever thought possible.Towards the beginning of this book something sad happens that I have been dreading for a while now. I don't want to give too much away but I'll just say that the squad and I were pretty emotional for a little while. We managed to pull ourselves together though. The action is this book was amazing and the best out of the series so far. My heart was pounding through a lot of this book and the adrenaline was definitely flowing. I also really enjoyed that this book mentions some Aztec mythology. It was really interesting to learn some of the background on Mexican culture.I was still pretty annoyed with Crocker when I first started this book but that changed when I really started to get into the meat of this story. I loved that he finally was trying to look out for his father and felt sorry for him when he really started to realize the toll that his job is putting on his family. I felt horrible for him and the rest of the squad when the danger got really close to home. I was definitely tearing up at the end. I look forward to seeing how Crocker and his squad will recover and move on from all that has taken place in this book. I can't wait to read more of this series. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the galley.
