I think teenagers should read this. Teenage me would have really appreciated this... Adult me hopes more teenagers can understand the nuances of this novel. Well done.

This is such an important read. Of course if you know anything about this book the you know there is a need to be cautious if rape, assult, and murder/death will hurt your mental state. But I also think everyone should read this. Because:
1. Talking about trauma is important, and I believe that's the most important part of this story.
2. The relationships are portrayed so brilliantly. Even the unhealthy representation is followed by consequences and development. Fucking Brilliant.
3. Even though this book is heavy and heartbreaking, it wishes for joy and carries huge amounts of hope.

Wow. Just wow. This destroyed me even though I knew how it ended, I still wasn't prepared. Excellent characters, backstory weaved into the right places so it never feels like exposition. So, so, so good.
Rating: 5This one takes a turn halfway through, loses all the mystery and kind of just becomes a certain soap opera. The male narrator in this book is the worst. 2 stars for the first half being an intriguing read.
Rating: 2The ending killed me, but this was such a good book! The characters were amazing. I loved them all. The story was really interesting too. This is the second book by Mindy that I’ve read and I’ve loved them both. I would definitely recommend this one!
