- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This novella is from the master of magic and adventure, Raymond E. Feist. This novella return to the city on Krondor and a character in his previous novels Jimmy the Hand. Jimmy the crawler is destined to face the Crawler, the name Crawler is a name which in Krondor is whispered in fear. Raymond E Fiest choose the crime ridden alleys which are rarely recognised in detail in the other novels. James (aka Jimmy the Hand) is the personal squire to the Prince however in the less accepted sector of the city his is a thief and trickster. Jimmy finds out that he is to travel to the city of Kesh undercover and when there he is to work with William lieutenant of the Princes household guard and the son of the much loved Pug. Jimmy the Hand, William and Jazhara (niece to the Keshan Lord Hazara-Khan) must work together and attempt to find and identify the identity of this Crawler and destroy it hold on the city of Krondor. To do this he has to get into Kesh and build his team without knowledge and then sneak through the city to complete his investigation
Raymond E. Fiest has a unique style of writing which pulls you into the story and builds on the characters which he has introduced in previous novels. Even though the novels are linked, this is one of the later novels. There is something about a Fiest novel which is special and i devour them when i get my hands on them. I am now going to get some of the other novels as i have enjoyed this one so much. If you have any ideas of where to start message me. - Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Worth a listen but not Feist's best work and didn't like the ending
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I love Jimmy's story, only wish the book was longer.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5It was great to return to the world of Midkemia and one of my favorite characters, Jimmy the Hand. This novella is set in the early part of the series, after the SerpentWar trilogy and is really part of the Betrayal at Krondor series. This is a short, fun story as Jimmy goes off on another mission for Prince Arutha. We also get to learn more about William and Jazhara in this book. I really enjoyed it, but it did feel a bit short and rushed.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5A quick story. Nothing special, but always fun to see the old characters.
