About this audiobook
Feyre has returned to the Spring Court, determined to gather information on Tamlin’s actions and learn what she can about the invading king threatening to
bring her land to its knees. But to do so she must play a deadly game of deceit. One slip could bring doom not only for Feyre but for everything—and everyone she holds dear.
As war bears down upon them all, Feyre endeavors to take her place as one of the High Fae of the land, balancing her struggle to master her powers—both
magical and political—and her love for her court and family. Amidst these struggles, Feyre and Rhysand must decide whom to trust among the cunning and
lethal High Lords, and hunt for allies in unexpected places.
In this thrilling third book in the Court of Thorns and Roses series, the fate of Feyre’s world is at stake as armies grapple for power over the one thing that could destroy it.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5While there was a lot more... spice... in this one, the story was great. Last half really kept me on the edge of my seat. Tears.... laughing.. more tears... excited to see where it leads.

- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5This book stole 4 days of my life. The narrator was AWFUL for the first 62 chapters. Then, she came through or maybe I was just numb by then. I would have been fine stopping at the second book which was beautiful. If I could do it all over again? I would never ever ever hit play. I wouldn’t have missed a thing.

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5I definitely loved this book just like the others . Honestly I know this is a super big pet peeve but I strongly dislike how often she has her characters "clicking their tongues"!!!!!!!! Something that has lessened and lessened and as it has my enjoyment of it has increased.. On a whole I would say that Ms Maas is becominning one of my new fave authors.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5It was good, but by 3/4 of the way through, I was kept thinking, "okay, this is a long winded book." Also, a different narrator. I prefer the first narrator more, however, I do like Amanda. She does a great job.

- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5Oh man I absolutely LOVE this series so much, but the narrator change is unbearable for this book. I finally had to put it down and just order the hard copy off Amazon. The first narrator for book 1 and 2 was amazing, but Feyre’s character completely shifted with the new narrator because of the way she puts so much inflection on different words and phrases. The new narrator makes Feyre seem ditzy and dramatic, and not at all like the fearless, driven girl from the first two books. The writing is phenomenal though so it’s worth just buying the paperback!

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5The story was great, the parts that were aavailable at least… I counted at least 6 chapters missing.
Halfway a chapter it would jump to the next chapter with as result that on min 5 in chapter 75 it announced the beginning of chapter 81. And there were supposed to be 84 chapters but before chapter 75 ended the book ended.
Really sad because it’s a great story otherwise1 person found this helpful
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This was long. Like maybe too long for what it was, to that it dragged a little bit. I appreciated Tamlin's character arc even more this time, maybe because I reread ACOTAR to start with? I'd like to see where he's going in other books and if he ends up happy. Also, the queer rep is so pointless here, I almost wish she hadn't done it at all. I hate it. The character in question did a come out of the closet and that's it, and even that left me uncomfortable. Without spoiling, the way that they described their sexuality in regards to a certain relationship felt like a copout for why it hadn't happened, and like Maas just said, oh whoops, dang, someone ought to be queer here - oh, perfect that will tie that up...let's write one conversation, ah, better. Solidly in the middle of the series for me as far as how much I like it, more than ACOTAR but less then ACOMAF. I'm the most there for Feyre in the beginning of this book, but it all gets a little convoluted and convenient as it goes to wrap up the war.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5It was ok I felt like parts dragged on at times but I’m not sure if it’s because I listened to iron flame before reading this series and thought that was amazing. In this book the author drained it with the sex scenes. No one wants to hear about a couples sex life 7 times in a book
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5A beautifully written story.
I loved the pace, the twists and turns.
I was enthralled, living as they did…
An excellentexperience - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Best book Fantasy Book series I have read/listened to since Harry Potter which is saying something because Harry Potter is my favorite book series ever… I’m left in complete awe of how the characters become rounded and if the author wants you to like someone you do and if she doesn’t then you don’t.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5So good not my favorite but still worth every second.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5My least favorite ACOTAR book, it was too cheesy for me
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Fabulous end to the series!! At first, the new narrator was jarring (I especially missed how the first one did Rhysand’s sultry voice) but it’s not too bad after a while I got used to the change and just focused on the story. I binged this ACOTAR series, listening to all 3 books back to back and despite the narration change for me each story kept getting better and better. This is some of the best fantasy, romance and action writing I have ever read. The first book in the series was a bit slow, it had more of an old school fairy tale vibe as it was a loose retelling of Beauty and the Beast. The second and third books were stellar. I fell in love with Rhys and his inner circle and was quite happy to see characters from book one like Lucien, Nesta and Elain play a role in this story. The final battles were epic. It was amazing the character growth that Feyre went through over the series. I enjoyed most of the new characters and juicy drama between the Fae courts. For me each book in this series was slightly better than the last. A really stellar epic fantasy series.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I just couldn’t stop! I love this book. This series!
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Elements of it were good. I did find the overuse of the work 'smirk' annoying. It made the heroes of the story seem smug and petty. And it was used a lot!
And I also found it annoying that the romance element always began with the couple hating each other. I don't think this is a good message to send to young people. I'm presuming the book is aimed at young adults about age 15 as that is how it read.
But elements were good and I listened to most of it. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I can't believe how much I've enjoyed this series even after being so against it at the beginning. I devoured this book!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This was my favorite book of the series so far. You get so much more insight to so many characters. I love this
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I loved it and can’t wait to listen to the next book in the series!
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5The narration of this book was really good, I just feel like the writing is lacking for me.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5The story, the tension, the twists… I can only say that Sarah is a master of storytelling. In some parts my heart stoped and couldn’t put it down.
