About this audiobook
You're not going home. You're not going anywhere. You're mine now.
Growing up in a deeply troubled family, fifteen-year-old Anna felt lost and alone in the world. So when a friendly taxi driver befriended her, Anna welcomed the attention, and agreed to go home with him to meet his family. She wouldn't escape for over a decade.
Held captive by a sadistic pedophile, Anna was subjected to despicable levels of sexual abuse and torture. The unrelenting violence and degradation resulted in numerous miscarriages, and the birth of four babies . . . each one stolen away from Anna at birth.
Her salvation arrived thirteen years too late, but despite her shattered mind and body, Anna finally managed to flee. This is her harrowing, yet uplifting, true story of survival.
Contains mature themes.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5First off shame on the Mother! You can never be sure who your Father is but always know who your Mother is. Secondly how can one human being inflict so much pain and torture another human being. He was an animal and should be euthanized! I hated to listen as I kept imagining she was my child. In order to continue I had to overlook the horror and torture endured and focus on the bravery and amazed at the strength and willingness to survive. I knew she would eventually free herself. Lastly the love she showed for the children she delivered regardless of how they were conceived and who fathered them. She could have been like her Mother hating each one but she fell in love each and every time wanting to protect and love them.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Yeah, truly inspirational book. What courage to go on. GOOD LUCK FOR THE FUTURE
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Brilliantly written book my heart breaks for Anna love it
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This book took me a while to read because it was so sad. However, Anna was very resilient and I’m glad she made it out. I was rooting for her as I was reading and I am very glad that she found happiness after all. The way the story was told was so visual as if you were right there.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Heartbreaking & Horrific tale of a beautiful child/ woman

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Difficult to hear but beautifully written. I can't help but be so proud of Anna for sharing her story. I can't imagine how difficult it must have been. But I hope it brings you peace
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I have cried and been distraught all the way through this book for what you went through and endured. It has been so hard to deal with that you could experience such deprivation and suffering. I'm pleased that you have found love and happiness in your life but I wish you could experience justice for what happened. I wish you all the best for the future and hope you are as happy as you can be. Much love and respect. Xx
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Very good book!! Very graphic and horrifying story. What she had to live through is unimaginable. I couldn’t stop listening.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Was this book well written? Yes,... sad... yes... horrific? Yes!
I had to make myself listen even though the storyline is... shaky.
What I'm saying is. In order to be authentic a story needs the background of the first person. Was the main character mentally incapacitated?
Well, I can't say as that wasn't addressed in the book. The background prior to the kidnapping... Doesn't go in depth to describe the emotional well being of the victim.
There is no breakthrough. No self reflection on the victims abuse prior to being kidnapped.. It could be as simple as " Looking back I realized that my parents hated me. They are terrible people".
There is no anger, no justice, no point that the victim confronts the pedophile. Thus, leaving him to make more victims!
Am I mad at the victim? No, I want to protect her. I asked myself is she mentally handicapped? once again, perhaps she is you can't tell because the book is written so perfectly.
Such eloquent grammar that causes it to lack authenticity. In short, how could these be the words of the victim when the wording reflects such logic?
Ask yourself if the victim is ever free when she seeks refuge in her family that aided in her abuse? How about some research to say that yes,. often victims are targeted by predators. How about naming names for the sake of justice and growth?
Sadly this book doesn't go there. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Can be graphic at times ut a very good story
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5An absolutely harrowing story. Even as someone who reads a lot of true crime, this is about as bad as a situation can get. What amazing strength she summoned up to survive. I will never forget this story and I dearly hope that justice is as someday served to the evil perpetrators.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5The monsters that took her, should be locked up forever! Very good book, and so descriptive.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Heartbreaking to hear what she endured. Humans can be so cruel. Satisfying to know she escaped and made a family for herself.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Such a devastating story, he stole her childhood, he stole her children and won the case to keep them.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This was so HARD to listen to. My heart broke the entire way through the read. I am so sorry for what Anna went through. To think that someone can do this to anyone let alone an innocent child, it's just... I'm at a loss for words.
Anna, I'm am so thankful that you found the courage to run. And I am more thankful that your suiside attempts did not work. May you find some peace with Jamie and your children. Xo - Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5I cannot believe this is a real story, too many inconsistecies, I put 2 stars only because as a fiction it is quite entertaining.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Very good so sad that someone can treat someone like that.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5What a strong person she is. I can’t believe what she endured at the hands of these monsters
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5This was so graphically horrific that I couldn’t listen past chapter 2. I listen to morbid podcasts and have read many memoirs from abuse survivors, but this was over the top unnecessarily graphic. Too disturbing to finish.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Just incredible that one body and mind could have endure such horror. Wherever she is may she find peace and recovery. How a child can go missing without one person caring for her whereabouts is beyond it's own terror. Very good read.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Just so good. So so so good. Her strength and her story is incredible
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This is a story that is horrifying! And yet, you find yourself wondering how she survived. You question the value of the police, child services, and most of all the hospital system. She was let down by everyone - from parents to neighbors, our 'system', and our society. There is a lot to learn with this story and I hope that people are listening.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5At first I was skeptical about this book. But quickly it became one of my favorites . I couldn’t get away from it
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Wow this was one of those books I couldn’t put down! I finished it in two days because I just wanted/ had to know what was to come next. It does however need to come with perhaps a trigger warning for some.
