Описание

One of the most tense, gripping thrillers you will ever read. From UK and US bestselling author Taylor Adams.

A KIDNAPPED LITTLE GIRL LOCKED IN A STRANGER'S VAN. NO HELP FOR MILES. WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

Darby Thorne is a college student stranded by a blizzard at a highway rest stop in the middle of nowhere. She's on the way home to see her sick mother. She'll have to spend the night in the rest stop with four complete strangers. Then she stumbles across a little girl locked inside one of their parked cars.

There is no cell phone reception, no telephone, no way out because of the snow, and she doesn't know which one of the other travelers is the kidnapper.

Who is the little girl? Why has she been taken? And how can Darby save her?

Full of shocking twists and turns, this beautifully written novel will have you on the edge of your seat.

This book had 4 unnecessary words for every one necessary one. I wish I had skipped it.

I thought this boo k was pretty good, even though it has some predicable pieces.

This was a great book. It kept me on the edge of my seat until the very end. I felt every struggle the Derby went through very well written and well read I thoroughly enjoyed it

It was an A okay book but there was definitely some plots where it had me questioning things all over the beginning like for example it makes absolutely no sense for a smart little kidnapped girl to be telling her rescuer insane details about her kidnapper including how much ranch he likes on his food yet fails to mention that he has a BROTHER ???? Come on... it literally made me think that Darby was messed up in the head and imagining the entire thing. I do get that this was part of plot twist but plot twists need to make sense for the reader to fully engage with the novel.

It was... Okay . That kind of explains it. Also *SPOILER ALERT* the ending , I knew it right away when they talked about the last name. I knew D survived, the story was too "twisty and turn-y" to just end so dry , very predictable but kind of engaging and a fast listen/read.

This is really good, suspenseful, and a little crazy all in one.

Wow there’s are countless twists in this book as soon as you think you have everything figured out, it changes. The book is so descriptive I feel like I can see everything that is happening. 10/10! Recommend this book for thriller lovers!

So over the top ridiculous!! Completely implausible but completely unputdownable. So that’s a wash. If you are willing to suspend belief then you’ll absolutely enjoy this crazzzzy ride.

It was literally unbelievable at times and not in a good way.

Very suspenseful, but some of the plot points were frustratingly illogical. Nice for a quick story and very well read by the voice artist.

Not as much as a twist as I was hoping for.

Couldn't stop listening once I got to the last hour!!! Great book!

It started out strong, but was quite painful to get through. I’m surprised by the many 5 star reviews. The author repeats so much throughout the book (we get it...she is a sophomore, she wears a size 8, she has red hair, he has a rodent face...). The twists got old towards the end. I was just ready for it to end.

What a ride!!! Amazing narrator Sarah Naughton brought the characters to life! Scary as ....and even scarier is the thought that BAD people like this do exits. Amazing book!

The best book I have read in over 20 years !

I reallly enjoyed this book. Stuck at a rest stop during a blizzard with complete strangers. This ranks up there on my list of nightmares! Darby is heading home from college to see her sick mother but the weather is just too much for her car. She pulls over at at highway rest stop where 4 others are already seeking refuge. While trying to get a cell signal, she discovers a young girl in a cage in the back of a van. Whose van is it? Who kidnapped the child and why? Who can she trust? This book is a thrill ride with lots of twists and turns. I can usually figure out "who done it," but I didn't see all of these twists. My only complaint was there were some, what I believe, to be unnecessary details where I found myself skimming over the text. Other than that, I thoroughly enjoyed this thriller! Maybe don't read it before you're taking a long winter road trip alone.

Could have been better w/o the non-chalant dialogue between the kidnapped little kid and the girl trying to save her from the kidnappers. I never felt like this was a real kid. She never acted frightened or if did it was between casual upbeat conversations which made no sense. Maybe if the narrator read those conversations with a scared voice it would have made more sense. But someone discovers her locked in a cage in a van and they 1st want to discuss the kidnappers fast food eating habit and how he laughs at the gas it gives him? ? I never felt like this was a real kid so I had a hard time really worrying for her. I got bored and speeded the narration then had to just skip to the end.

This was great !!! Give it a go .. u won’t regret it

I do not know where to begin. The plot line is so ridiculous, and all of the ridiculous caught by Ashley Darby escapes caught by Ashley Darby escapes were incredibly overdone unbelievable and not jaw-dropping at all. I do not understand what other people liked about this book. I also think that she must have been getting a kickback for every time she mentioned Wanna Pawnee little devil Wanna Pawnee big devil. It was almost like she was just needing filler content when she

Great story but the very last twist was not needed. The reader also was excellent

I could not put this book down. It was so good. The main character is very relatable and you don’t know who to trust. It’s a page turner to the very end. If you enjoy thrillers, this is perfect for you.
