About this audiobook

400 years in the future, men are few and women rule the world.

Except for the area formerly known as Canada and Alaska, which is inhabited by the Men of the Northlands, a group of strong men who refuse to be ruled by women.

Christina Sanders, an archeologist and professor in history, is fascinated with the past. As a modern woman of year 2437 she knows that women are better off without men, but longing for an adventure, she makes a spontaneous decision and volunteers for a job no one else wants. Now she's going to lead an archeological excavation in the Northlands, the most secluded place on earth where the mythical males live who are rumored to be as brutal and dangerous as the men Christina has read about in her history books.

What will happen when Christina crosses into the men's territory? Will they allow her to do her job, and is there any way they'll let her leave again-unharmed?

Contains mature themes.

I received an ARC for my voluntary review for netgalley. I enjoyed book, kept you on interested. Loved the chemistry of Cullen and Mia, it was sexy. I appreciated reading about the dynamics of the brothers, and the background of how they became the men they are now. I am assuming there was a previous book, I will look into it. Also, liked that they were trying to work it out in there own way. Can't wait to find out what happens next!

Very interesting, and entertaining. I’ll be reading the rest of the series.

The book, set centuries ahead of a world war that ruins most of the planet and wads to women segregating themselves in a different country from most men, is a fun and silly read. The book alternates chapters between the male and female perspective, and the audio does the same. The woman they chose to record her half if the book speaks in an annoying, almost little girl, fashion... and I really wish she’d read in her grown up voice.

Elin has totally stepped up her game with this series. I loved everything about it including the side characters. I look forward to their books and currently there's 7 more out to be read! The narrators are perfect for this series as well.

The Protector by Donna GrantSons of Texas #2Book two of the Sons of Texas series begins where book one ends. It is told from the perspectives of both the hero and heroine. Orrin Loughman is still missing and his sons, with their female partners, have separated to find out what they can about a stolen bioweapon while locating and freeing Orrin. In this book the youngest son, Cullen, is drawn to pilot Mia Carter and she finds him rather irresistible, too. There is plenty of action, bad guys aplenty, a bit of romance, catching up with the status of Orrin and a phone conversation or two with the rest of the team. More of the mystery about a nefarious take-over-the –world group named The Saints is shared but the end will no doubt not be provided until at least book three when Wyatt and Callie will have their story told. This was well a well written and enjoyable book that can stand alone but would benefit from reading the first book before reading this one. I would like to thank NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press for the copy to read. This is my honest review. Did I mention that I am EAGER to read how this will be tied up and can’t wait for book three? 4 Stars
