About this audiobook
Parting the mists of time and myth, the internationally renowned scholar Zecharia Sitchin takes us back in this volume to the violent beginnings of the human story, when gods-not men-ruled the Earth. In a spellbinding reconstruction of epic events preserved in legends and ancient writings, he traces the conflicts that began on another world, continued on Earth, and culminated in the use of nuclear weapons-an event recorded in the Bible as the upheaval of Sodom and Gomorrah.
Zecharia Sitchin
Zecharia Sitchin (1920-2010), an eminent Orientalist and biblical scholar, was born in Russia and grew up in Palestine, where he acquired a profound knowledge of modern and ancient Hebrew, other Semitic and European languages, the Old Testament, and the history and archaeology of the Near East. A graduate of the University of London with a degree in economic history, he worked as a journalist and editor in Israel for many years prior to undertaking his life’s work--The Earth Chronicles. One of the few scholars able to read the clay tablets and interpret ancient Sumerian and Akkadian, Sitchin based The Earth Chronicles series on the texts and pictorial evidence recorded by the ancient civilizations of the Near East. His books have been widely translated, reprinted in paperback editions, converted to Braille for the blind, and featured on radio and television programs.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5After reading this book I feel that few of things might have happen in past but for some it is hard believe. Still Recommend one time read though.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This is a fascinating read, presenting some very enchanting ideas. However, that's all they will ever be unless Nibiru show's up to prove Sitchin right.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This is true history, read it!
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5First of a series of how the gods of the ancient are from a large planet that revolves around the sun every 3,600 years and created the civilization of the ancients. Makes a lot of assumptions about ancient clay tablets, but hey, who knows, right.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Whether you have religious beliefs of any kind or are a strict scientific thinker, this book has the potential to change your way of thinking. At the very least, it will you show you a very thorough and lengthy research process into the earliest civilizations and our planet's earliest history. While the conclusions made in this book may be controversial -- insert "aliens" reference here -- the logic and progression of this book makes it hard not to at least agree with his thinking along the way. While the book is a little slow going in the first third, you really get paid off with the "big picture" concepts after that. Enjoy!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This would make the greatest movie ever. From the creation of Mars, Earth and the Asteroid Belt to the global symmetry of ancient civilizations, this entire series is astounding and far more believable than any religious version of human generation.
