About this audiobook

Grabs you immediately and keeps you guessing right up until the surprise ending!

She thought they had the perfect marriage . . .

Tamra never dreamed she would marry someone like Mike Mitchell: handsome, rich, a wonderful husband . . . until she finds out that Mike is having an affair.

But Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, and Mike Mitchell should have remembered that before he made a fool of her.
Because Tamra knows something about Mike. Something he did. Something evil. And she was prepared to carry the secret to her grave.

Not anymore.

To make matters worse, Mike's daughter Madison has come to visit for a few days, and Madison doesn't like Tamra. Well, that's too bad, because Tamra doesn't have time to argue. She's too busy ruining Mike's life while remaining, on the surface at least, the perfect, loyal wife.

But when Tamra's plan spirals out of control, she finds that things are not what they seem.

And now, it's too late.

Author

Natalie Barelli

Natalie Barelli can usually be found reading a book, and that book will more likely than not be a psychological thriller. When not absorbed in the latest gripping page-turner, she loves cooking, enjoys riding her Vespa around town, and otherwise spends far too much time at the computer. She lives in Australia with her family. For more information, visit nataliebarelli.com.

The plot was excellent with lots of twists and turns that kept me guessing. The only thing that bothered me had nothing to do with the story, but the narration. Why choose an obviously non-American narrator for an American narration? She did a good job, but the accent slips were a little distracting.

The book was very enjoyable to listen to! The Author’s story and the narrator both did a great job! The only thing lacking was nail biting suspense but definitely kept me guessing and also enjoyed the twist ending which was completely unexpected!

It’s really annoying how the last few words of each chapter cut off before skipping to the next chapter.

This was a reasonably entertaining book, it has a decent twist to it however if your one of those readers that expects everything to make sense as it would in real life you may find yourself disappointed in this book. I myself enjoyed the liberties taken to create a narrative as I fully believe fiction writing can take real life fact and bend it to it's fictional will to make a story work, within reason. This was kept within reason. I will read more from this author. It's a page turner but also an easy listen where I don't have to be super invested to follow the narrative.

So bored. I hate giving up on a book, it's very rare for me... but after a couple of hours I just couldn't listen to the waffle anymore. The book kept skipping and cutting out as well which didn't help.

Good book, but the end of each chapter is cut off. I feel like I wasted one of my supposedly “unlimited” audiobooks.

I love Natalie Barelli but this was my least favorite book of hers. The audio recording is annoying because it will switch to the next chapter and cut off the final words of the sentence. As for the story, it features my least favorite characters that even the ending couldn’t redeem for me. All in all it’s worth a listen.

I don't really know what to say... It was a disappointing as technically there wasn't point WHY? everything was good and hidden and then she decided to just open the Pandora box... For what??? There was a twist at the end and I didn't suspect this turn so that's good but in general I can't say I liked it that much.

Enjoyed the story. But really disliked that it cut short towards the end of each chapter. So you missed some of the book.

Flat narration again for a novel by Ms Barelli. Could have been better and some life put into the story with another narrator. Pretty good twist at the end
