Описание

Discover number-one New York Times best-selling author David Bach’s three secrets to financial freedom in an engaging story that will show you that you are richer than you think. Drawing on the author’s experiences teaching millions of people around the world to live a rich life, this fast, easy listen reveals how anyone — from millennials to Baby Boomers — can still make his or her dreams come true.

In this compelling, heartwarming parable, Bach and his best-selling coauthor John David Mann (The Go-Giver) tell the story of Zoey, a 20-something woman living and working in New York City. Like many young professionals, Zoey is struggling to make ends meet under a growing burden of credit card and student loan debt, working crazy hours at her dream job but still not earning enough to provide a comfortable financial cushion. At her boss’ suggestion, she makes friends with Henry, the elderly barista at her favorite Brooklyn coffee shop.

Henry soon reveals his “Three Secrets to Financial Freedom”, ideas Zoey dismisses at first but whose true power she ultimately comes to appreciate. Over the course of a single week, Zoey discovers she already earns enough to secure her financial future and realize her truest dreams — all she has to do is make a few easy shifts in her everyday routine.

A simple book in a 3rd person/storybook form that’s easy to digest and an absolute pleasure to listen to. David’s simple style is really one of the best as an intro towards managing your finances and your life. I’m impressed

Great narrative, short and sweet for one or two sittings. You'll finish it in a snap

Not only the best and most simple financial strategy breakdown in a book I've ever read, but also frustratingly relatable as you see some of yourself, or someone you know, a bit in every character.

The book provides good fundamental financial concepts such as pay yourself first and debunking some money myths however it seems that the morale of the story is saving $5 a day and saving it for 40 years so I can be financially free is not that enticing for me. I cut my losses by stopping at chapter 9. Why not increase your income and have a strong savings rate of 40-50% so you can live a more reasonable happier life not depriving yourself. I think the book of Ramit Sethi will be a better read allowing people to follow through and be successful. I’m not saying it won’t work but this will be a hard pill to take.

Worst 3h 60 min book of my life, used it in bed to fall asleep. Awful, preachy prose, stupid one-dimensional characters, bad advice. Just skip it. Waste of time.

What a boomer mentality that does not take institutionalized sexism or any real history of millennial hardships into account. (Aka, buying the f****** latte does not an incompetent person make.) Read literally anything by Sallie Krawchek or a woman, I’m begging you. Bonus points if she’s under the age of 40.
