About this audiobook

"Such a great story about self-doubt and self-confidence, but most importantly loving yourself, inside and outside." ~Sharing My Book Boyfriends

For the first time in her life, Ireland Mills is happy with her body. No more fad diets, no more hiding from every camera in the room, no more low self-esteem. She’d rather be alone than with someone who’ll only love her if she’s skinny.

Caleb Carpenter and Ben Weber are everything Ireland and the Kansas Chamber of Commerce dreamed of when conceptualizing the “Real Kansas” promotional campaign. They’re handsome, young, educated, and totally dedicated to their small prairie town.

When Ireland’s Prius gets stuck on a Kansas dirt road and a massive storm rips through town, she’s left stranded with nowhere to turn but to Caleb and Ben. These two hunky country boys are impossible to ignore, but could they ever be interested in her as well?

Caleb and Ben are more than interested…and they’re willing to share. After their first night together, they know this has to be more than a one-time thing. They need to make her theirs forever. But can they convince Ireland they love her, curves and all?

    ** Spoiler Alert**

This is a good book and a must read, but I gave 3 stars because of all the fat shaming with herself. I’m a big girl and it took me so long to feel good in my own skin. This character needed a I don’t care and I am beautiful attitude when everyone found out about the three of them, but other than that it was a good listen.

This story is so cringeworthy. The characters instantly fall in love and can’t live without each other. Ridiculous. The protagonist’s self hate and personal fat phobia is all consuming and disturbing. This story has no substance and it’s hard to like any of the characters due to lack of depth. Save your time.

Also the female narrator is awful. When she does the male voice it sounds like Kermit the frog. Since this book is 90 percent smut it sounds like Kermit the frog in painful agony. Huge, huge turn off.

This is the third book of Simone's that I've enjoyed. It's sizzling hot and very well narrated.

This book was a little hard to listen to- as a plus sized girl myself, Ireland’s negative self talk and perception of how people see and treat her is very real. It was a bit overwhelming for the storyline, but as someone who has literally said the same kinds of things to myself , and chosen not to chase dreams because of how I thought others would treat me for it- I get it. We all need to be kinder to people- with any type of body!

The audio book was pretty well done. The storyline was cute and steamy. It has a VERY strong focus on her weight. I didn’t mind but it did become a big part of the book. I enjoyed how it was very believable, the self doubt, the strength, it really showed emotion. Overall the characters were good. An easy book to listen to.

The fatphobia in this book is a storm cloud hovering as you read/listen. I almost didn’t finish it because it was so bad. But hey, at least I finished it and know that Ireland believes she’s worthy of love despite being fat.
