I really enjoy this type of complex storytelling that is rooted in the culture of the author. Based on the Mahabharata, which is a celebrated Indian epic, Banker has definitely done a good job of immersing me in the world; of crafting characters that span characteristics and behaviours. Th use of the supernatural and the natural worlds as part of the development of story and plot, the pacing of the action and repercussions of certain choices and the resulting consequences, the political intrigue and machinations also heighten the reading experience and drama.

My only gripe is the instances of overwriting that comes with certain conversations and interactions.
